After the Murray match it seems to me that the new Rafa (bad knees and all)MUST win at least one of the first two sets to win another hardcourt Grand Slam. Question is will he win another Grand Slam other than clay and grass?

Doubt it, if his knees are playing up to a serious extent then I doubt he will win a hardcourt slam again. RG I have no doubt about, Wimbledon, maybe, but HC, in question, he was never that good on HC anyway, he only has 1 HC slam.

Well, to be completely honest we'll never know until it happens....Rafa is a very good tennis player, thing is, his fitness is giving him trouble and players are figuring out how to play him...so he needs to sort them two things out...if he can then he's definitely a force to be reckoned with. It's sad really what's happening to Rafa and I don't even like him! I'm a fed lover! I can't stand Rafa but it saddens me seeing this.

Regardless of what just happened its really stupid to vote anything other than "I dont know".

Can anyone predict the future? NO
Has Rafa proven he can win a HC GS? YES hes already won the AO.

nuff said.

I doubt it. He will never win the U.S Open so that only leaves the Aussie. I dont think he will be winning any slams past the point around when he turns 26, even the French, so at most only 2 more chances there and many other contenders. I am voting No.

He will win us open title and complete his career slam. Thats all in terms of hard courts.

Unless he gets another fortuidous draw like he had last year, I'm going to say no.

Outside of last year's AO, Nadal has never beaten a top 10 player in a HC slam. That's not a coincidence. It's because he either never gets far enough to face top 10 players or loses once he faces a top 10 opponent. I don't think he'll ever play that 2008-early 2009 level again, so I'll say no.

I would think Nadal might get a lucky draw once in a while and he could capitalize and win another HC slam title. Anything Happens in Slams. I'd hope If nadal has one more HC slam title in him it is the US open!

I thought about the luck too. But unlike a year ago, there are too many pros that are discovering the key to beating Rafa on HC's.
Which is: Rafa MUST win one of the first two sets.
Attack his serves, especially the second.
Take the ball on the rise.
Play to his backhand..

This is not easy but it's getting easier to do.

I really don't know. It really depends on how well Nadal can preserve his kness and how he can consistently bring up his aggressive game.

No. With JMDP, Cilic and Murray added to the mix, along with Fed, Joker, Davy, and Tsonga, he probably will never even get to another final. He's very vulnerable on fast tracks - the players know how to beat him. Soderling was even about to play smashmouth tennis on clay at RG last yr and beat him.

He can and he will, if his knee's hold up. That's a big IF though. Moreover, he's going to have to beat a top 10 player to do it, something he's had a major problem with as of late.
