Will Sinner win a major in 24!?

Do you think Sinner will dominate teeth in future?
Not sure about dominate but he has the game to be his nemesis. Raz is quicker and more explosive but also injury prone, so it will come down to tactics and being clutch in the decisive moments. Right now Raz certainly has the lead imo but I am bullish on Sinner getting there. 24 is the year for him, he either steps up or fades like Tsitsipas or Zed.

If sinner dominates alcaraz, @dking68 don't you think it would be bad for the game? Alcaraz is combination of big 3. Sinner is combination of Berdych and Djokovic.
If I’m being honest with you I see this rivalry going the way of Sampras and Agassi where Sampras had the size advantage and was able to win more than Andre. But Andre was lightning fast. But it would also go to show that you should never underestimate late bloomers like Sinner. I think we should get a clearer picture of Sinner in 2024. Based on career trajectory I see a 6/7 title season for Sinner this year

Andre was lightning fast? Are you sure ?
Andre was slow on court, it was Sampras who moved lightning fast and with tremendous power as well. Andre was just a great returner, but not a great athlete to move lightning fast.

It can happen. But Andre was a lazy player. I have seen Carlos talk about trying to be the greatest. He loves the sport and Andre hated it.

Fair point but there’s a high chance Sinner gets over 90% service holds this year. That’s Federer type level serving if he can do that. That is not good news for Alcaraz or the tour in general. In the last six months Sinner has held serve 89%. That’s a slam winning stat. Carlos will never have that service hold in his career. If Sinner serves over 90% holds this year I can’t see why he isn’t a slam winner by the end of this year. Also Sinner has improved his break rate to 30%. That’s deadly and he’s going to be a really big problem for Alcaraz

When I see numbers like these I feel hopeless about the future..

Federer’s 2004 was 91% service holds and 31% break rate and he won 3 slams. Sinners 2023 is around 87-88% and 28% break rate. He’s going to improve those numbers next year. He should win 1 GS title
Ok but Federer had almost nobody in 2004. His big competitions were Agassi who was 34 then which might be far worse than Djokovic today, Hewitt Safin and Roddick.

For sinner Djokovic is still there and Alcaraz is also there. Plus fed won a slam and ATP finals in 2003. Sinner has won 1 masters title till now. Federer looked almost impossible to stop in ATP finals. While Djokovic destroyed sinner.

Sinner was a complete disaster in that final. Way off his level. But all credit to Novak, really put Sinner on the back foot. A well playing Sinner would’ve lost in three though I think. But Sinner is going to turn the tables at the ATP finals in 2024. He will win his first YEC there, very certain of that.

@nolefam_2024 Sinner will have a season similar to Novak’s 2013 in 2024. Don’t think he’ll be as good as his 2013 in the slams though. Don’t see Sinner playing 3 slam finals. 2 max

If Medvedev 2019 won 2 masters, Sinner 2024 should be able to win 3

Sinner is a top pick for me to win a GS this year. Will he...time will tell.

And maybe, the AO. He is the most in form player building from success from the middle through the end of last year to his current run at AO. But Meddy has his head and focus straight, as well as his fitness improved. Might actually be a good final.
