Let's see the draw; It will tell the chances.
Facing any top 10 before QF = 0%, and then it depends on who reaches the latest stages.

the courts at cinci are frikking slow, as expected he does not have sufficient power of the ground in his game to wrestle out heavy hitting opponents.......his chances at us open depend on a highly favourable draw.......he has to avoid about 5 players to fancy winning the whole thing......

After he got destroyed in Cincinnati by Lajovic, can he bounce back to win USO?
Hoped he had gotten the fourth seed as a fan myself, but it’s going to be even harder as he has to draw a player ranked 1-4 by QF stage. If he’s in the same half as Djokovic, he’s packing. If he’s in Alcaraz’s half and Medvedev takes out Djokovic, he’s got a chance

I don’t see him beating in a worst case two of the top three players back to back. He can probably take out one but definitely not two

But as you said he has improved this year in his three set defeat to Djokovic, don't you think he should not be scared of Djokovic, Med or anybody else? If he has to win then he has to beat his demons, no?

I agree totally. If he’s truly an ATG to be he needs to overcome adversity with optimism. But right now I think his body won’t allow him and I don’t think he has the belief to beat Djokovic in a bo5

@NeutralFan how far you think he’s going to go? Worst case and best case
USO is a strange slam anything can happen, nobody is outright favourite. As far as Sinner is concerned I told you honestly about his game.hes a gifted ball striker but what he lacks is movement, speed and Defense( big part is due to reaching ball left) why didn't he work on his lateral movement, especially on his BH wing since he was 19 or so? Wtf his coaches have been doing? Just look at the qf against Djokovic whenever it was a big point Djokovic would play it in the bh corner and Sinner would be late on the ball, or Djokovic would change the angle and direction. He's just 22, he should hire a coach to work on his legs and movement. He's a talented guy for sure.

@NeutralFan i can see him making the final but I have a feeling he won’t cross the finish line. But as I said many times, this is draw dependent. He has to land in Alcaraz’s half or it ain’t happening

He matches up well against Alcaraz, which is someone he very likely should face.

I don't think he should avoid any player in particular, as in having zero chance against one specific player, but there are just several players who CAN beat him. With Alcaraz you feel as if he's a lock to win against many players at a slam. Few players can beat him (Sinner being one of them).

Yeah let's keep the hype alive by promising a slam win in future lol
I don't care about the hype, actually I'm mostly on the other side when people start to hype players.

I really do believe Sinner will win USO at least once in his career. He has great chances at Wimbledon too.

I don't give him much of a chance against Medvedovic.

Who knows. He has the game, but does he have the emotional/mental stamina and broad focus. I get losing in Cincy after winning in Canada; that doesn't concern me too much. But, still, it's not ideal. If he has a tough match at the USO, can he rebound and win the next match, and does he have the overall focus and fortitude to win 7 Bo5 matches. Sinner is always cruising until he isn't. You could say that about anyone who is playing well, but Sinner often "wows" people who naturally then predict that he's due to win the tourney. He's got the Masters monkey off this back, but the Slam monkey is an entirely different animal. Should be interesting.
