After he got destroyed in Cincinnati by Lajovic, can he bounce back to win USO?
This year no. One day, yes.
Not likely. After he got destroyed in Cincinnati by Lajovic, can he bounce back to win USO?
When Medvedev went deep in all 3 USO warmup tournaments in 2019, I knew he was gonna lay a goose egg at the big show.I don't usually defend him but I think it's better for him that he lost. 2 deep runs in consecutive weeks would've been tiring.
Hoped he had gotten the fourth seed as a fan myself, but it’s going to be even harder as he has to draw a player ranked 1-4 by QF stage. If he’s in the same half as Djokovic, he’s packing. If he’s in Alcaraz’s half and Medvedev takes out Djokovic, he’s got a chanceAfter he got destroyed in Cincinnati by Lajovic, can he bounce back to win USO?

I agree totally. If he’s truly an ATG to be he needs to overcome adversity with optimism. But right now I think his body won’t allow him and I don’t think he has the belief to beat Djokovic in a bo5But as you said he has improved this year in his three set defeat to Djokovic, don't you think he should not be scared of Djokovic, Med or anybody else? If he has to win then he has to beat his demons, no?
USO is a strange slam anything can happen, nobody is outright favourite. As far as Sinner is concerned I told you honestly about his game.hes a gifted ball striker but what he lacks is movement, speed and Defense( big part is due to reaching ball left) why didn't he work on his lateral movement, especially on his BH wing since he was 19 or so? Wtf his coaches have been doing? Just look at the qf against Djokovic whenever it was a big point Djokovic would play it in the bh corner and Sinner would be late on the ball, or Djokovic would change the angle and direction. He's just 22, he should hire a coach to work on his legs and movement. He's a talented guy for sure.@NeutralFan how far you think he’s going to go? Worst case and best case
the courts at cinci are frikking slow, as expected he does not have sufficient power of the ground in his game to wrestle out heavy hitting opponents.......his chances at us open depend on a highly favourable draw.......he has to avoid about 5 players to fancy winning the whole thing......
I don't care about the hype, actually I'm mostly on the other side when people start to hype players.Yeah let's keep the hype alive by promising a slam win in future lol
Sinner or djokovic. Either one. If djoker goes out early then sinner. If not then probably Djoker since sinner has all kinds of matchup issues with him. And he didn’t take Cincy seriously. He’s preparing for the open
Sinner only peaks for the slams these daysSinner or djokovic. Either one. If djoker goes out early then sinner. If not then probably Djoker since sinner has all kinds of matchup issues with him. And he didn’t take Cincy seriously. He’s preparing for the open

Let’s hope!!Needs a poll. 'YES', Jannik to bag his first Slam in 2023 in New York.

Power is the last thing that Sinner lacks.the courts at cinci are frikking slow, as expected he does not have sufficient power of the ground in his game to wrestle out heavy hitting opponents.......his chances at us open depend on a highly favourable draw.......he has to avoid about 5 players to fancy winning the whole thing......
He needs to train hard for the open. A proper 2 weeks of solid serving will allow him to blast through his opponents in Ny. I expect him to upset tinyCould do. It’s normal that age to have a letdown after a big win. Plus the field is weak.
He needs to improve first serve %.Power is the last thing that Sinner lacks.
The bigger question is, do I get @dking68 & @Djokovic_is_the_best#1 to place yet another bet on their avi about Sinner's USO run? Will Sinner win USO?
If you go for big with flat strikes, you're not improving the %He needs to improve first serve %.
who is Tommy Paul. LolHe just lose to Lajovic in straights, for god's sake.
Of course not.
I don't give him much of a chance against Medvedovic. He matches up well against Alcaraz, which is someone he very likely should face.
I don't think he should avoid any player in particular, as in having zero chance against one specific player, but there are just several players who CAN beat him. With Alcaraz you feel as if he's a lock to win against many players at a slam. Few players can beat him (Sinner being one of them).
Okay sure. I expect him to make at least a semiThe bigger question is, do I get @dking68 & @Djokovic_is_the_best#1 to place yet another bet on their avi about Sinner's USO run?
I will have to think about that! Long think … lolThe bigger question is, do I get @dking68 & @Djokovic_is_the_best#1 to place yet another bet on their avi about Sinner's USO run?
Interesting take, let's see.Okay sure. I expect him to make at least a semi
