Will they sell the Baiardo machines from the stringing room after the U.S. Open is over?

Reading some old threads I see some people picked up used Baiardos from the stringing rooms after tournaments are over. Anyone got the inside scoop on whether this will be the case after this year's U.S Open and how much they usually go for?

Thanks!

You have to contact the Tournament Director normally before the event occurs. If you contact the TD while the event is happening, it’s too late as the machines are already sold or picked up as soon as event ends. How far in advance? Your guess is as good as mine, but I suspect it needs to be done as the event starts their vender selection.

Yes, they do. Most of them are probably allocated already if not already sold.

Weren't there some rumblings that there was supposed to be Baiardo update/replacement coming? Anyone got news on that front?

When I looked into this, the sales rep I was dealing with told me to reach out to him right after Wimbledon (this was 2023) to get on the list to buy one, but I ended up going a different route.
How did you get into contact with one of the sales rep? Might be interested in one come next year's US Open, or even at IW.

I think they've been using the HEAD team/machines at Indian Wells, not Wilson.
Obviously, that could change.
Yeah I know they use Head machines. Either brand will be worlds better than what I have if I can get one at a discount.

So how do I get into contact with one of these reps?

I assume at most tournaments, the machines have to be picked up in person?

In that case IW will be my obvious choice - are those HEAD machines worth it?

Those I’ve talked to state they love the te3600. Unsure if head does what Wilson and Tf do in terms of marking down tournament used machines or not.

You’ll just have to ask your self if you’d like the beaker pull vs Diablo.

How many frames would each machine have strung by end of tournament?

In the grand scope of things... not really all that many (given the number of frames/longevity these types of machines are designed for).

Likely, somewhere around 300-500 frames.

:cautious:They don’t have any kind of setup to deal with the public.
Thanks for responding. My machine is a Pro Master, a rebrand of the older Wilson machine, like what was used in 2007 US Open. Made by ExThree. The company I used in past to get replacement parts was Xtremesportsmachines and they closed down a few years back. I was just wondering if in future I needed another part like an LCD screen like I replaced in past, if there was a customer service place where it can be obtained.

Do you know if ExThree has a customer service contact?
Dunlop , solinco, head and I believe Alpha would be the companies that utilize ExThree manufacturing in Taiwan.
Id say outside of head customer service which seemed non existent, you can’t go wrong with the other 3.

It’s probably going to be tough to get an LCD screen for a machine from 2007, but if you need to sometime (I hope you don’t;)) IMHO Tennis Machines would be the people to contact.
