Will Tomic vs. Nadal be the biggest beatdown in AO history?

Well?

Tomic could snatch one set or take a few to a tiebreak, but there is no way he is winning this. He is up against one of the most physically challenging players out there. Even if Tomic was up 2-0, I'd still be hesitant. Perhaps the humid weather will be advantageous for Tomic, as the ball will move a bit quicker, but other than that, I can't see many positives.

I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

Honestly, I think Tomic's only chance is if Nadal is for some reason psyched out by the "quicker surface"/faster balls. Though he probably isn't really concerned, it's just another Tio Toni mindtrick.

Nadal in 3, no close sets, OK maybe one.

But I'm hoping for Tomic in 3.

4 people looking pretty damn smart right now.

Also, only 1-set victory in AO men's history, no? So maybe this is the biggest beatdown in AO history?

Is this tank all part of Bernard's secret plan to make Nadal complacent for their future match at the French?

Tomic looked totally out of place during this match, like he didn't belong there.
