Let's hope not. I have no respect for players who in their prime lose 10 straight matches to a 34-35 years old rival. Him winning a slam would be just a fluke, because it's clear he is useless against real competition.

Dud is already like 25. Most youngsters already won their majors by then.

He says he has championship in his blood. Then he has to hurry up

Even taking out Djokovic and Nadal, it would take a catastrophic simultaneous early exits of Alcaraz/Rune/Medvedev/Sinner to give the Philosopher a shot. And frankly I would probably put Ruud and perhaps even Rublev above him at this point.

The only thing stopping him right now is Novak, and he's young enough that he'll still be in his prime when Djokovic starts to drop off.

I think he'll win 1-2 slams. Alcaraz has his number though, so he better be quick.

He can sneak one in.
It all depends on if Alcaraz and Sinner get themselves into era defining form or not. They could push Tsitsipas out but if injuries and whatnot get in the way, and we get a 98-2003 period, Tsitsipas could grab a slam.
Tsitsipas has a matchup advantage over Sinner.

He will be within 1-3 slam range, when he finishes his career, he has a potential to emulate Roddick/Hewitt/Safin career, but even when Djokovic and Nadal is no longer on his path blocking him, there are still plenty of players of his own generation and the generation 5-6 years younger than him, who are capable of beating him pretty consistently! But luckily for him these players aren't as consistent as Djokovic or Nadal, so ocassionally he will be getting easier draws and vulture a couple or more here and there...but he is no ATG material...

Are you then kind of guy, that answers "yes/no" to the - "How old are you" question?...
Its a hard question. I dont really see him beating Novak of course. I guess it depends on how long Novak is around till he gets older? Because there are young guys coming up right behind him. So, I suppose it could happen? But there are many things that would have to go right for him.

He'll win 2-3 and become no.1 and stay there for some weeks. The generation after his is normal(not lost) and they have much better talents, so the window to achieve those is closing quickly and he needs to get it done soon.

His 2019 form it seemed like he could be like the next Fed and take over but he regressed/lost confidence was never as good maybe as what I thought but honestly it was an easy misjudgment looking at his H2H he beat all the big 3 he also topped the yr off by winning the tour finals…
My realisation he wasn’t that guy that was going to do great things was the US 2020 vs Coric I realised he hasn’t broken through and didn’t take his opportunities was a huge red flag and usually the ATG they breakthrough from age of 19-22 if you want to be in that upper pantheon of best of the best. That has well and truly past for him. The nail in the coffin was 2021 FO he never was truly the same after that loss and the spiral continued until really this AO 22. He still has a window to become a slam champion 1-3 and world number 1.

The answer might lie more with Djokovic and not Tsitsipas. The longer that Djokovic keeps winning Slams and crushing the dreams of Tsitsipas with his long head-to-head streak, the window for Tsitsipas to win multiple Slams gets smaller as the next generation of Alcaraz, Sinner, Rune etc. will also catch up to him quickly and start winning Slams.

Unfortunately he looked totally clueless in the AO final against Djokovic. He had his chances but couldn't execute at crucial stages, very disappointing. His own best shot the forehand went missing and no real game plan or ability to play the match on his terms.

He is not going to win any slams against Djokovic, not even a single match at RG! He might eventually end Novak's streak of h2h matches won, but it's going to be somewhere where it matters way less, like some clay masters, which Novak only sees as nothing more but a warm-up prep for RG or something...maybe he can snatch one victory against him at YEC in round robin stage if Novak doesn't care or something...he is not gonna beat him at grand slams...

That’s what I said. He won’t beat Djokovic in Slams and by the time Djokovic retires, others may be ready to win Slams before Tsitsipas.

My thoughts exactly! Guys like Rune, Sinner or Alcaraz all will be blocking him in a couple of years, but until that happens Djokodal will be ones, that'll do the blocking thing...he is just caught in-between...

None of these players will enjoy the mental intimidation factor that Djokovic does imo.

Tsitsipas quoted today as saying he wants to win all 4 grand slams once career slam not calendar and Olympic gold medal plus lead Greece to a Davis cup and reach world number 1! He is dreaming very big still
