Will we ever see this Beasterer again?

Will we ever see this IW 2017 Beasterer again?

Roger was just a different beast altogether at IW 2017.
Ridiculous Serve, Mind-blowing Backhand, Peak-esque Forehand, some Godly movement, always going for kill mentality, line licking shots, ridiculous volleys and pure 100% confidence made for a monster of no match.
That was like Peak Isner(for the serve), Peak Wawrinka(for the larger than life Backhand and brute force shots) and 2006 Federer all combined in one guy.

Will we ever see this again? Discuss!

Nice to see a fellow citizen from the very small but incredible village of “Anyone but Zverev” our population is only 3 but it’s growing rapidly!

Back to the topic at hand, probably not but Fedr is Fedr and I would be foolish to doubt Fedr after all he’s done, wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s still winning slams in his 40s.

We need a woman in our village soon because what's a society without a woman o_O?
@TheGhostOfAgassi would you care to come live in the "Anyone but Zverev" village?
We will even make a "Federer is sh*t" amusement park for you and also a Rafa Nadal statue in the middle of the village.

Nobody in the history of tennis can touch Federer when he's in god mode. Not Djoko11/15 nor Nadal 08/10/13.
Wouldn't have believed you if you have said this pre-2017 or even after AO 2017 but this IW 2017 performance just took him to another level.
Hands down the most efficient and strongest display of tennis.

It would be so much fun if this Fedr turned up at the USO hardcourt swing. It's the perfect game for a slow hardcourt. He will be unbeatable.
He throws them back with the serve or the brute force return then hits another line licker and even if they retrieve this one(Novak and Andy especially) here comes the can't-be-retrieved winner. The only problem is for this great game to work he must be in peak form because if one of the weapons falters the whole game will turn it's back on him and a high number unforced errors will follow.

This is FACT, or OPINION???
Obviously its an opinion but if you consider the "fact" that it was largely due to the exploitable backhand that these baseline Gods ruled Roger when they did.
So it will a fine opinion to say that with that neo Backhand and the rest of the GOAT game if he plays in the God mode he won't be matched by the Baseline Gods. I am sure you would agree he showed half the truth in my point when he beat Nadal 4 times in a row at the age of 35-36.
Only if Novak was getting to all the finals in 2017 we would have found if there is some truth in the other half of my point :)

unfortunately the field improved and was too strong for Novack.

A different, yet just as dominant and genius display is hopefully incoming at W. Arrogance beyond justified when he
finds a rhythm. School these young fellas one more time :D.
The bolded is just about guaranteed but by creating this thread I only meant that particular monstrous level watching which gives me immense pleasure with very few equivalents in the world. While not being completely aware about it I think I have been watching those highlights atleast once a weak ever since IW 2017. Easily my favourite ever performance.

He only had his second best Aussie performance ever THIS YEAR and his best Wimbledon performance ever AFTER IW LAST YEAR

Probably will beat the ever loving sheets off everyone yet again at some time

We'll probably see glimpses of it. Gave Peak Fed a run for his money in IW in comparison. Nadal hit some short balls as a few here will say (think) but still ruthless. Form on the day matters, but Rafa didn't have a chance anyway. Nothing wrong with saying the old man had some peak mixed in there. The GOAT can GOAT outside of 04-07 every now and then like he did there.

And his grand slam h2h against them in those years is 1-6, 0-4 in finals (none in 2013, Federer's worst year).

june-september 2015: two losses in two slam finals against Djokovic, 61 sets won and 1 lost, in a tie-break, in the other matches.

Or you can say Federer bageled 'in form' versions of:
Nadal on clay, Djokovic on HC, and Murray on indoors HC.

None of them managed to bagel Federer on grass.

I saw this beast at IW in 2018 in the flesh. The Chung match. At the moment I am
a witness to Fed's last ever good match. He clearly missed me and played miserably
in his next 3 matches.

Those years didn’t face peak Federer and absolute peak Djokovic needed a big choke from 30 year old Fed to avoid going 1-2 in slams.

It was a Godly performance, no doubt. I think the buzz of winning the 18th released him from thr shackles.
Never understood the part where they play freely after winning something they desperately wanted to win.
I mean isn't playing freely the thing that makes you play better and inturn win more.
So why not play freely everytime?
Why not be IW 2017 Beast Roger everytime you step on court?
I know it's not easy to peak but I don't mean level wise being the same beast(because that's obviously impossible) but atleast try to emulate it.
Where is that neo Backhand? I don't see it anymore these days. Last time it made a satisfying appearance was at Shanghai last year.
He is basically using it as much as he did in 2015.
I am not criticising him here.
This is more of a wish from my side to see that Backhand more often.
He should keep the slice for Grass or for neutralizing the speed of the shots of all those ball bashers.
All I want is to see Roger playing like that more often than not because:
1) he clearly can do it.
2) why not?

ak24alive.....

I can't remember what thread it was but some poster I haven't seen before
came in with a post that nailed it. Fed's restless. He gets bored sticking to
a limited strategy, even if it works. He truly enjoys that slice BH. He gets to
pose when he hits those. It appeals to his vanity. The mixing up his game
part appeals to his sense of fun. Yeah, we get annoyed with him but at the
end of the day this idiot is Babe Ruth/Sandy Koufax good. Truly a maestro.

We got lucky with him.

And which was peak Federer? The one who had 4 wins and 7 losses in finals/semis at 23-27? Federer was beaten by them during all his career.

Choking should be an excuse? It's one of the worst ways to lose in a mental sport like tennis.

The one who won 11 / 16 grand slams and had insane 90+% win ratio 3 seasons running, 11,11,12,8 trophies, 3 x 3 slam years and 1 x 2, 5 straight Wimbledon 5 straight USO.

You didn't understand. We were talking about their h2h. I know you think the Weak Era Bully was his best version, but even that one lost 7 matches out of 11 against Nadalovic.

Federer has never been untouchable by Nadal and Djokovic, while Djokovic and Nadal have been unotuchable by the other two (2008-10/RG2012-RG14 Nadal, with a 10-0 slam score, and 2011-RG12/ WI2014-16 Djokovic, with a 11-1 slam score).
