it's because the wide lens distorted the image. Look at her hand and see how big it is.

She looked pretty good at the Open. Almost beat Mauresmo. I think she'll be back in form next year. That's what is so damn frustrating about her. She probably doesn't deserve it, but she's that damn good.

Doesn't deserve it? She has a body that probably puts on weight looking at lettuce and you say she doesn't deserve it? Has anyone seen her mother. There are things in our food now, chemicals that affect North Americans and some of them blow right up, eating virtually like a starving sparrow.

She can still win big tournaments, but her body is just sooo damn large, it will be tough. But she has the game for sure, she is SMALLER, but she is still five to ten pounds a way.

Serena is in the perfect position to really gain a fan base now. She can be the savior of professional tennis in America as far as the women's tour is concerned. For the first time since the tour started, there were no Americans in the singles year ending championship. If Serena would dedicate herself and quit talking about it, she could become the darling of tennis fans in America. But, she's going to have to get a personality transplant in order to pull it off IMO.

If Maria had won the year end Championships and ended the year #1 it would be even more likely to have motivated Serena. Serena does not like Maria at all and the motivation of Maria coming closer to dominance of the womens game would the biggest motivation you can find.

I just wonder if all the money, fame etc... has affected them too much that their hearts just aren't in it anymore (both Venus and Serena). But, because of the way they were brought up with tennis, that they are still hanging around. If they didn't have that link to tennis, how successful would they continue to be?

Now that my friend is somehting I agree about...I'm not going to say that Serena hates her because they went shopping about 1 month ago together, but I know that Serena wants to keep her crown, and will not want it taken away by a 19 year old...I think we'll see a more serious Serena at the AO...Jone Wertheim says Serena cried badly after the Mauresmo loss at the U.S. Open.

I think she had tears in her eyes as she was walking off the court. She bagelled Mauresmo and still lost the match. I don't think she's used to that.
