Blade hits heavier ball and is more stable. Gravity is easier to swing, has bigger sweetspot and easier spin but for me lacks a bit mass (at least in stock form). Which one is better depends on how you hit. Blade is better at driving through the ball, flat shots and genarally more attacking style, Gravity is better at brushing the ball and medium paced topspin game.Do you think that the Blade 100 v9 is better racket on clay? I am from germany and i need a little bit spin, kick serve for second serve.
I still think the Speed MP is swiss army knife of tennis racquets that does everything well and if only one frame could be used by everyone, it would be the one.If you have access to a demo program
I would demo:
Wilson Blade 100 V9 (out of interest)
Head Gravity MP (out of interest)
Babolat Pure Aero 100 (less demanding than the 98 and a lower SW+ you want spin)
Wilson Shift 99 (its Wilson's Spin line + 99 inch+ a SW that is lower than Pure Aero 98)
Yonex Vcore 98 (because of the shape of the head, sweetspot is enlarged, it's a spin racket and about the same SW as the Aero 100 and Shift 99
Head Speed MP or MPL depending on your prefered weight specs, as Head Speed is the most versitale line of Head, and honestly one of the most versitale rackets among all brands.
Agreed, should work fine for a very wide range of playersI still think the Speed MP is swiss army knife of tennis racquets that does everything well and if only one frame could be used by everyone, it would be the one.
Gravity MP needs a few grams of weight. It has higher twist weight than blade. Plenty stable with just a leather grip. Agree with everything else.Blade hits heavier ball and is more stable. That has to come from techniques not gearsAny suggestions on ways to create a heavier topspin ball vs the medium topspin game you mentioned? I felt the same way in that Gravity mp is easier for more racquet head speed and feel but lacking in heavy spin…leather grip and/ or spin poly strings w lower tension help much or is a spin oriented racquet (aero, vcore, extreme) the only answer? Thx
I completely agree and have a great heavy topspin ball with my vcore 100 , just trying to recreate it with a more controlled / better feeling frame..so yes trying to cheat some with better”gears” while I continue to improve consistency etcThat has to come from techniques not gears
Gravity MP with weighted handle plays perfectly. Far superior to Blade 100”Gravity has much bigger sweetspot and is easier to swing but lacks a bit of weight for agressive play. Hard to say which one you would like more. For me personally Head was to light and Blade to low powered.

I tested GMP for about 6 hours of play. I adjusted it to just 11 grams at the handle (inside the buttcap). With Mach-10 1.20, OG, and damper: 330g, 321mm, 322 SW. It felt incredibly solid, comfortable, excellent feel and had a good balance of power and control.I know it’s personal preference but what’s your GMP setup? Weight added, strings etc. Still trying to dial mine in
