Wilson Blade 2024

if the specs largely remain the same with increased stiffness, it kind of inches the Blade closer to the Radical MP Auxetic, which is a racquet worth considering if you're a Blade V8 player looking for more power but without increased weight.

The beam is quite thicker on some areas of the radical MP.

This is exactly me. Been using a Blade v8 16m and wanted more power without more weight. Got a Rad MP and it just arrived a half hour ago. Wrapped up the overgrip and ready to rock. Will see how it compares! Doubt I’d be going for a Blade v9 regardless… but you never know. The holicing is becoming overwhelming!

Report back. I may do the same but am interested in the V9…PA 98 was a possibility but it’s a strange feeling racquet…

From my experience PA98 requires a fast hand in all strokes. Blade 16x19 is more spin friendly in slow strokes, however the PA 98 has massive spin potential if your arm is fast.

It’ll take some getting used to but I think it’s good. I just don’t think it has the control of the Blade v8. Def as stable, a nice power boost, and doesn’t feel too stiff… but I’ll prob keep maining Blade. I just can’t quit it!

What about SW ?

What about SW ?

I didn’t measure it myself but the listed spec is 321 vs Blade’s 317 and it does feel like that. Mildly harder to swing but it gives the Rad stability without being tough to maneuver. It was great at the net. Overheads were powerful but controllable.

Sorry, they had a sale here in the AUS wilson page, I got a new blade pro for 299 AUD down from 429 AUD
Why is it not showing anymore in the AUS site? Well.. I ended up purchased the Ultra Pro 1619 v4 instead of the Blade Pro and enjoy the 15% off for new customer.

Also 300g static, so lighter overall ans you can always go with a thinner gauge

I wonder if I can ask for a price match for my purchase that was a week ago. Any idea?

There is now a Cyber Week Special on (in Australia)... the more you spend, the more you save ($200 - 10% OFF up to 25% off for $450+). This is in addition to the "Sale" price.

So, I just got another BP v8 18x20 for $209.95 and a reel of 4G Black for $188 (I also got a free backpack that was thrown in for good measure).
