Wilson Blade 98 (16x19, 2015) Bumper Guard Replacement

I was wondering if the Wilson Blade 98 (16x19) 2015 version bumper guard (neon green) can be replaced by the black bumper guard of Wilson Blade 98 (16x19) 2017 CV?

Only the bumper guard needs replacement and not the rest of the grommet side strips.

Answer is probably yes. Both have the same skips for mains and also have the 'stupid' parallel drilling technology. Both also are the same width. If you plan to order from here, confirm with TW. BTW, it is really not worth replacing just the bumper guard if you have the whole set. Best to replace everything and keep the old set for spare grommets if needed.

Unfortunately, the CV grommet side strips have a tail - they are somewhat longer than the ones on the 2015 version. The head guard looks the same.

You can clip off that tail or tab. The tubes are your main concern. Have fun.

Just to confirm...I have a 2015 Blade 98 16x19. Does the Countervail 16x19 black grommets/bumper fit properly? Did you have to modify it in any way to fit? Thanks

I just replaced my v5 18x20 bumper with v8
The end of the bumper is slightly bigger on the v8 and doesn’t perfectly fit in the grommet channel when you first put the bumper in but it fits once you string it

Can’t say for sure the 16x19 but the 18x20 just about fits

Only tried bumper sorry. Also I’ve heard the 2013 won’t work with either as it hasn’t got “parallel drilling”
