Wilson blade v6 98 16x19 with other grommets?

Hello I am currently using the blade v6 98 16x19 racket and was wondering if I could use different grommets (v8/v9) to replace my current ones.

Maybe. There’s usually an insert in the top, and in V9’s case, also the two on the side. You may have to use your V6 insert on the top of the new ones. The side ones may cause you trouble on the V9s. Grommets are fairly cheap, so you could order them and try it. I’m guessing you’re having trouble finding V6 grommets.

True, but for me the main problem is removing the old grommets and being able to put it back in

My blades are all 18x20 and I know that V5 and V6 are interchangeable. V7 and following do not fit on V6. Having said this I managed to fit V9 grommets on the V7 with a bit of heatgunning so I’m sure you could do it too.

Yes, it won’t be a perfect fit but I’m sure you can make it work.

Yes to headguard - basically the only part that goes bad in most cases.
