Much better than the previous swamp green. I imagine some red string would make it pop really nice, all komrade style, Da.

Will it be the nearest to novaks frame this blade pro stock ..

If Wilson labs do it ? How good is their quality control ?
If it is the Blade Pro mold then yes, but this is the Blade v9 most likely like Korda (if it ever gets released) so thats kinda a different frame

After seeing the video, the new v9 blade green in the gloss finish is one of the nicest paintjobs I’ve seen on a racket. Fantastic choice of color by Wilson and to just make their rackets all one color. Very classy like the old wine red PC600.

I totally agree, it is a beauty.

I bet it is a Pro Labs variant.
Would seem odd for Wilson to stop making the Blade Pro with the H22 mold and change to a Blade mold with the only unique feature of the "pro" being the glossy paint and unusual string pattern. Korda is not a big enough name for hordes of players to be wanting to copy his setup. It would also seem odd to me to keep the H22 Blade Pro and add this option to the Blade Pro line up. This is likely just a pro stock that this Solow Sports dude couldn't resist passing off as the V9 in order to be the first V9 "review" vid on YT.

Gloss definitely looks better on these single color schemes but the retail racquet will be matte finish like the V8.

Why would it be odd to add the 18x19 string pattern to the Pro Labs Offerings of the Blade Pro? I think it would be a fantastic idea... and a good part of the "Pro Labs" experience (as in this is the kind of stuff offered to the Pros... and we (Wilson) are trying to give it to you through the Pro Labs range).

I have absolutely no say with Wilson... but if you're listening... please start to offer this kind of stuff through Pro Labs (you will sell additional racquets).

Hasn't Korda reverted to 18x20 though? And Djokovic plays a thin flat beamed 95 - lacking in spin compared to a hybrid beam of a Blade 98 - at 330g-ish untrung, 360sw strung and 29kg gut in mains

A bit difficult to compare that to a 325sw Blade 98 strung with some loose poly

It’s a great offering. About 100x closer to novaks spec then any racket HEAD offers …

My Blade Pro is 364g strung and has a SW of 354 (343g unstrung).

I was just saying that I don't see a reason for Wilson to not offer a 18x19 Blade Pro option if they wanted to. People will be interested and want to find out the differences and what they like more.

So it's apples to apples.

My main point based on speculation that the racquet in the video might be a new Blade Pro is that it's a Blade mold not the H22 of the current BP. It would be odd for Wilson to start mixing two different molds and a third string pattern into the matrix of Blade "Pro" options unless they'll not longer offer the BP in the H22 mold. But the H22 mold was kinda the whole point of the Blade "Pro" to begin with - a mold that had never before been sold to the public, and only to pros.

That's not what I was saying... nor implying.

So, firstly, I have no idea whether Wilson will offer the Blade 98 with a 18x19 string pattern in markets outside the US (but I hope they do offer the string pattern in general... and then both in the US and outside of it).

Secondly, it was mentioned that it can't be a Blade 98 (and therefore has to be a Pro Stock) because it's glossy (and the standard retail Blades are matte)... so the suggestion was made that they could incorporate it into the Blade Pro fold and that way (since the Blade Pros are already glossy), it would not appear weird. Furthermore, to this point, I don't think it would be crazy or unwelcome if they offered a Blade Pro in the 18x19 pattern as well as the others.

And, thirdly, I am not suggesting that they start mixing the Blade mould into the Blade Pro mould... I'm just saying the previous two points (those being that I hope they do introduce a 18x19 string pattern into the Blade 98 fold and offer it to the public... and that I wouldn't mind if they did that to also include it into the Blade Pro silo).

Lastly... if they want to introduce a glossy 18x19 Blade 98 (in the regular Blade mould)... I'm all for it.

I hope all those points are now clear... we've separated all the different points... and are now all clear on everything that I was trying to say.

Have a wonderful day... in and all.

Would love to have 18x19 version of Blade. I just played with Blade 98 18x19 pro stock (Kblade mold) and the groundstrokes are super solid. (Serve not so good tho)

I enjoyed that video (and all your other ones). Keep up the hard work... and I look forward to what you put out next.

Cheers, the 3rd string pattern would be cool under whatever line they could offer it. This silly Solow Sports video just a big mislead.

I hope they made Blade Pro (H22) in 18x19. I will be all for it hahaha.

Sounds good but you need to commit to buying a frame to attend which is fair enough I guess

"A $50.00 deposit towards a new Wilson Blade will reserve your ticket.
A balance of $350.00 will be required on the day to secure your racquet and attend the event."

Not sure how to post an image here, but I just saw an Instagram post from coach_glider_tennis praising QC via Wilson Bairdo Tune Pro, and showing 65/66 Horizontal/Vertical RA.

64/65 RA seems to be the design change here.

Ah thanks!

So I assume the 317 listed in TW v8 page refers to strung? If so, where would v9 potentially land strung?
