He's growing to be my favorite go-to racquet reviewer.Racquets and Runners does a good job. Also seems honest.

Headline: Much Better
I've been using v7 16x19 for the last 3+ years. It worked great to reduce arm pain, swing very hard, and have decent control.
I've tried: the following as potential replacements for the v7 without satisfaction:
For anyone using a v8 - try this immediately. I never liked the v8.
- Prince ATS Textreme Tour 98 (not too far off)
- Precept 98 330h (Close)
Wow. Yes very similar.Sounds like we had similar experiences / looking for the same thing. IDK what it was about the v8 but it was awful for my fast swing. Loved the v7 as I never found it to flutter when dictating the point. The ATS and Percept were both ones I liked out of your list as well, but found them a bit unstable or floaty at the tip of the racket. Is the new 16x19 blade good stability wise at the tip as well?
I didn't think I'd like the teal to be honest but I agree they look good. Will also be interested to see gloss!I had these frames in my hand last night as a Wilson stringer at the club had the entire line (not the 100 sorry) in his bag. Paint job looks really nice in person. I imagine in gloss these will be stunners.
Are we going to see gloss?I didn't think I'd like the teal to be honest but I agree they look good. Will also be interested to see gloss!
Not sure. Someone else mentioned gloss earlier. I haven't seen any gloss versions yet.Are we going to see gloss?
The first v9 was 335 strung, 315 sw strung using 17 guage. At which specs are you guys comparing v7 v8 and v9 16x19? Have you measured them? Swingweight? I really found v8 16x19 at correct spec, 296 unstrung sw -> 328ish strung with 1.30 to be very stable. Tried one at even higher stock sw, 303ish, also very stable
Strings shouldn't weigh 30 grams, especially 17 gauge.The first v9 was 335 strung, 315 sw strung using 17 guage.
Will be measuring the others this week. Fingers crossed for better Wilson QC.
You will have to wait for the Pro Labs versions that you have to buy directly from Wilson. Not sure. Someone else mentioned gloss earlier. I haven't seen any gloss versions yet.
The only difference between v4 and v10 will be the grommets, which won’t fitThese racket companies are just fooling us. Going from hard frames to soft frames, to hard frames again. Attaching some ******** technology phrase to the new models. Et voila, people switching and spending money. I still play with the v4 which will probably be pretty much the same as v10.
No string in it howeverLow swingweight
-yesWill the grommet system work in the v8?
How to order it in Europe? I live in Greece.Blade Pro up on Wilson Pro Labs. Cannot order it yet though

Not in the US.Does anyone know if there is going to be Spin effect blade v9? 98s 18x16?
v8 spin was only in Europe.

The Blade Pro has not changed t from version to version throughout its lifeClearly the changes from V8 to V9 are very subtle so I wonder if the Blade Pro will be essentially unchanged save for the paint job and maybe (hopefully) better QC.
Yeah that's what I figured. Still if there's an improvement in the QC that's a big improvement as an overspec BP will be hard to handle for most people. The Blade Pro has not changed t from version to version throughout its life
Says who? I'm hearing people who hate v8 love v9 so far more than subtle changeClearly the changes from V8 to V9 are very subtle so I wonder if the Blade Pro will be essentially unchanged save for the paint job and maybe (hopefully) better QC.
335 strung without added weight seems a bit on the heavy side for that racquet...not sure that's their desired spec...but who knows-i am waiting to hit a couple more times to be more precise with my wording on the feel
-but i do like the smooth response i am getting
-the v8 is a bit more brassy than the v9
-the v9 seems to have like a "FULL/loaded feel" to it, not hollow, nor anemic
-the v8 at times would feel a bit thin on of center shots
-the v9 seems to dissipate the vibrations a bit better
-again, a bit too early to make that call for sure
Anecdotal but the Wilson stringer that showed me the frames said it played just like his V8 and said it still likes his V7 the best. I haven't read or seen anyone say it's a big change from V8.Says who? I'm hearing people who hate v8 love v9 so far more than subtle change
SW with 1.25 string ?Name of the game is change in feel, IMO it's going to be a 50% divide, some will swear by it, some will hate it, but now at least you have the options to choose between discounted V8s and V9s
I don't think it matches the V5 , but my spec was a little whack to be fair
Specs between V8 and V9 are very close if not the same? In any case if you’ve been following this thread you’ll know stated specs are almost meaningless.I almost bought a friend's Blade v8. Kinda glad he changed his mind since the v9 16 x 19 specs seem more up my alley.
FWIW I think its definitely enough different from the v8 to warrant switching. The feel is softer but more responsive. Power is more controlled. The vibrations are way less like someone mentioned above.Anecdotal but the Wilson stringer that showed me the frames said it played just like his V8 and said it still likes his V7 the best. just joined the thread. Yes, I understand that stated specs are meaningless but if they state stock swingweight to be 324, I would feel more hopeful that the differential would still be better than the differential with a v8 which had a stock swingweight stated at 317.Specs between V8 and V9 are very close if not the same? 330 , 300 unstrungSW with 1.25 string ?
LoL sounds like you got a chunky monkey this time for the v9. on your video for when you reviewed the V8 you got one way under spec.330 , 300 unstrung
Blade 100 is now listed on Tennis Only - when i visited previously they did not have it on the wall for stock
Wilson IG has stock listed as March 15 in US

all I'm looking for is the same light, maneuverable package but with a bit more pop...maybe that comes from increased stiffness or the stability tech in the frame, I dont' care. I just like the low 320 sw.Name of the game is change in feel, IMO it's going to be a 50% divide, some will swear by it, some will hate it, but now at least you have the options to choose between discounted V8s and V9s
