I realize the influencers seemed to enjoy this offering, but folks here didn't.
I do suggest a demo for anyone curious about a comfy frame that has a nice balance of control and power, and excellent stability.

I just purchased a 2nd frame, so I figured I would get a dedicated thread going for the V3 Pro before I switch to something else, because "holic gonna holic".

But in all seriousness. I have been behaving for the past 7 months which is why I haven't been posting much.

What was I playing with before the Clash 100 v3 pro?

I started playing with the Extreme Pro 2024, at launch and have been maining with that ever since, back in July 2024.
I really enjoyed this frame from my first hit b/c: it is super stable stock, excellent at net.
It serves bombs. I can generate good power on my 2hbh. It agrees with my forehand.
Good to Great directional control.
It really is a very well rounded update from Head.
The clear grommets, for some reason, stand out to me. They feel more flexible and rubbery?
Perhaps this lends to the frame more plush feeling, than the previous gen (tour)?
Anyhow, the stick feels comfy enough for my arm, which doesn't agree with former gen, or radical mp (for example).

Fast forward to December 2024. My first "getting old" injury.
Calcific Tendonitis (calcium deposit on rotator cuff).
Had it removed with ultrasound guided needle. Took two months off (doc only recommended one month).

I said to myself. Man, I really enjoyed the Clash 98 v1 back in the day, for a hot minute.
I wonder what the v3 Pro is like, and if it makes sense to move from the Extreme Pro (which seems ok),
but who knows. maybe the super flexible Clash makes more sense, coming off this injury.

I used the Clash 100 Tour/Pro v1 for a few weeks several years back, then transitioned to the 98 quickly.
I then moved on to several other frames over the next several years. And did try the v2 98 as well (didn't have the same magic).

The 2025 Pro model has been tweaked to be slightly more "pro" as it's now a 16x20. however, it's a 100, so let's see how it plays.
I purchased a new Clash 100 Pro V3 without even demoing it. Strung her up with Pure Rush 18g 51/49 lbs.
This is my reference string and tension. Although with yy frames, I go 51/48.

Upper 4.0 level doubles, very fast paced action, heavy hitters.

The Clash felt great at first hit. It reminds me a bit, of the 98 v1. But it's different for sure. And how does it compare with the Extreme Pro?

1. super stable, stock. requires no weight for me. great at net/overheads
2. serving bigger bombs than with the Extreme Pro, which was already great.
in my first set played with this frame, I got every single one of my first serves in, which is uncanny for me.
3. my 2hbh likes the frame. it's in the top 5 sticks for me, in this dept. definitely works for this wing, which is tricky for me.
4. forehand is great! this is my primary weapon. this stick has a low launch angle IMO. which works for me.
but when you put shape on the ball intentionally, I will tell you, it has tricky spin. balls are landing in, that seem to puzzle players on the baseline.

this is considered a control frame, the pro (I feel), but yes there is ample power.
you do need to harness it a bit, with somewhat of a modern swing.
you don't need to be super spin orientated, but you can't be a completely flat hitter either.
somewhere in between (or closer to rafa) and you'll be ok.
there is a lot more zing on my ball with this frame, when compared with the Extreme Pro.
the ball explodes off the frame.

5. directional control. somehow, I feel as if it is even better than the 98 Extreme Pro.
I was placing groundies and volleys exactly where I wanted, in my 2nd match with this frame.

6. comfort is obviously great, with it's 57 RA. My arm really doesn't feel as if I played, after playing two hours. Legs, another story.

7. the sweet spot is like a traditional 100, but even better. and the few off center shots you'll hit? they won't be jarring at all.

spec notes: I only have the one frame thus far, and it came from the lottery system
my 2nd frame is in a box on a truck right now.

frame #1:
11.11oz (315gr) / 32 cm with frame card and grip sleeve cover
10.76 (305) / 31 5/8 with only grip sleeve cover
10.65 (301.9) / 31 1/2 stock weight and balance (slightly under spec)
10.90 (309) / 31 with overgrip
11.50 (326) / 32 strung 18g poly (pure rush)

TW spec says this is a 305 gram stick, 323 strung, 32 cm balance,
Wilson spec says this is a 303 gram stick, link so mine is a gram shy
Wilson suggests 320 strung weight, mine is 319.
TW suggests 327 swing weight, it feels around 325-326 to me, will test asap.

It's sort of a beefy frame for me, at 24.5, when I look at it.
But it's constant, beam width, helps I guess.
When I'm holding it, it does feel like a 100, it feels a little bit more lumbering, than my old 98 Extreme.
But is it in my head?
Probably. It swings fast, and when you're playing, it doesn't feel lumbering.

My Extreme Pro 2024 is:
11.60 (328.9) 32.10 with overgrip and 18g pure rush
11.50 (326) 32 with overgrip and 18g pure rush - my Clash 100 v3 pro
they are quite close.

So while it's a 100 and has a 24.5 beam, you don't expect it to play like this, but boy it does!
this may sound crazy, but in a way, it does feel as if I'm hitting with a 98 that has a generous sweet spot.
how so? b/c I have an uncanny feeling and confidence that I can hit a cone with this frame. I am really hitting my spots and playing winning tennis.
I would say, it feels like a more controllable Pure Aero with regard to serving bombs, spin, and pop.
But with more precision, and suitcases of more comfort.

Is v3 any more arm friendly than v1? Is it the same material? I found v2 to be less arm friendly than v1.

V3 has the same flex as v1, only difference in specs is v3 is 1 point more head light and 2 points higher swing rate and the tighter string pattern.

I find found the 98 V1 very bendy and comfy and sometimes erratic.
The 98 V2 was not as bendy, felt more brassy, less comfy (but not uncomfy), and still erratic, even with the 16x20!
The 100 V3 Pro is very bendy and comfy and no longer erratic for me!

The description reveals a perfect blend of control with power that benefits from increased stability. Your curiosity about comparison between the long rallies of this racquet against the Extreme Pro makes me wonder about its performance capabilities under such circumstances. Are you experiencing tiredness from the additional weight in your swing or does the comfort level compensate for it?

no additional tiredness with the clash. after my fourth match with it, now, I can say that it's better on defense. and that I am less tired with the clash.

cheers

I will just add this comment that I think it’s a good thing that the Clash exists because many recreational social and local comp players need a racquet that prioritises arm safety - be it wrist, elbow or shoulder:
I see a lot of Middle Aged people who take up tennis only to suffer the dreaded tennis elbow or wrist tendinitis.
Pro Kennex is another brand that has the best technology for arm safety and the Clash from Wilson is a good addition.
I sometimes hear more advanced players criticise the Clash but I think they are missing the point.
I would like to see Wilson have a go at say making a heavier and thinner Pro Staff style of a frame with the Clash Technology pitched at the former 5.0 player who is in their late 40’s or 50. Volkl had a go at this concept with their Catapult 10 Tour, the V10 Catapult ( not sold in the US) and the Organix V1 Pro ( the black one ) which was a good concept.

@Ryebread - Nice job. Interesting frame. A few questions:

1) Precision Level - What other mainstream frames can you liken it to?

2) Consistency - Have consistency of string bed and impact response improved to a point where they're more on-par with traditional layups?

3) Unstrung Spec - Any chance you could get a calibrated-measured SW? (I would presume 295-ish)

Thanks in advance!

Hi Trip!

This combination of swing weight, large sweet spot, and put-away power... it feels (precision included) like a super comfy ezone 98 tour.

String bed inconsistency has not been an issue for me at all, after four matches. Two more this week.

Impact. Hmmm. It pockets. But it pops like crazy. Which I like. I love playing defense with it, and I love rallying with it. It has nice power.
So I guess it is still clashy, with regard to impact. But I really can't see 4.0 / 4.5 level players turning their nose at this (if they give it a real chance).

I have a 2nd one coming, so I'll cut out the string and bring both to my friend's shop with the new Wilson machine.
Get SW for strung vs. unstrung. if I had to guess, I think just a little higher than 295 maybe?

Cheers

I’ve played with all three versions of the clash pro and recently switched to the v3. I really do feel they took the best of v1 (plush, bending, pocketing) and the v2 (predictable, stable) and combined them into this version.

5th match today, still loving it.
pretty easy to play with.

great on defense
serves bombs
stable at net
big sweet spot
put away power is on tap
but you can play relaxed
you have good control on tap
feels luxurious on the arm

So is the paint the same as the last 2 iterations?
you mean, quality of the paint job?

I don't think so.
seems like a diff finish to me. I haven't had any issues yet and I play doubles lol.
lots of clanking after points lol (prefer the fist bump/hand slap, but you know the deal).

Not the paint quality. The paint type. Is it the rubbery/velvet-like stuff that Wilson was using on the last versions of the Clash (v1, v2), Blades (v6-8, Pro Staff's (v11-13). etc.

Been having some wrist and forearm pain and been considering getting a V3 Pro. I have a Clash 98 V1 but I wonder if the 100 Pro V3 has more control???

For Wilson, that's not bad. Little surprised to see 301 unstrung, though. With such a low balance point, that's a fair amount of recoil weight and a pretty low MGR/i in stock form. Going to be a loopy hoop to pull through contact. Could be good if that's your thing.

SW was pulled from just one test - of each frame - on the latest Baiardo. Didn’t want to take up too much time at my local store.

I have not strung number two yet, I have no idea how it plays or if I will enjoy it.

I always like lower swing weight rackets as I can easily adjust with string gauge, Brand and type while keeping static weight in check.
If you get a heavy one.. not much options available.

I tried this racket today on a whim, and I was stunned by how much I liked it. Really stable, really good spin, felt great when I hit it in the sweet spot. This is not normally my type of racket, but I've actually found myself thinking about picking one up for fun. I've always thought of the Clash as just an arm friendly racket, and never really considered it. Leaving aside the arm friendliness, what other rackets would you compare to this?

“Leaving aside the arm friendliness, what other rackets would you compare to this?” Head Boom Pro, which is also very comfortable on the elbow.
One difference is that my two Boom Pro’s are 326 in swing weight and the Clash Pro v3 is 330 swing weight.

Pleasantly surprised by my demo of the Clash Pro V3. Chose this for fun alongside the GravTour 98 and Percept 100. The Clash was definitely fun. So comfortable, but not as noodly as I thought it would be. Plenty of spin, effortless power, no problems controlling the power, quite stable against a big hitter. I haven't hit serves with it yet, but so surprised by how easy it is to play with (even with a 327 SW), that I'm actually considering buying one.

Huh, I can see why you'd say that. Interesting comparison. Probably more power from the Clash, maybe more spin from the Clash, and more control from the Boom?

Clash has no equal.. nothing comes even close in today's marketplace..
Maybe the Prince Exo3 Tour from the past..
I used the Exo3 Tour for a bit many years ago -- great racket! Clash strikes me as more powerful, but the feel seems pretty similar.

I am stringing my v3 pro 100's at 51 lbs mains, and 49 lbs crosses
soft co poly
Pure Rush 18g

it's my go-to tension and string. and it's working great.

I really think this is an easy to use racquet, that is comfy.
if you're a minimum of high 3.5 to low 4.0, and you have your technique down....
following through/committing, bending your knees, applying spin....
you'll find great control, but there is put away power to be had!
even with that being said, you can hit with a ton of RHS, or without, the stick is great, and it's 100% consistent. there is no more asking, what just happened, with the clash.
it's a 100 though, so you do need apply your proper technique.
the 16x20 helps keep the launch angle down, IMO.

EXCELLENT on defense
very maneuverable for this weight class.
serves bombs.

if you're technique is not under control, and you need something to curtail your power/mishits, then try something like the 100D or radical MP or tfight 305S.

How much difference is between v2 98, v2 100 pro and v3 100 pro, in terms of the drill pattern? Or the consistency improvement is coming more from lay up changes etc? I'm most worried about string bed consistency.

Did you try v2 100 pro?

I played about 3 months with 100 pro/tour v1 (rocket launcher, erratic), 98 v1 (controlled rocket launcher, sometimes erratic), 98 v2 (more control, not as comfy, still erratic), and now 7 matches with 100 pro v3.

the 100 pro v3 is the most consistent bed out of all of them, it's almost like in the ways you want a clash, it's a clash....
it is comfy, great pocketing, great on defense, forgiving, put-away power.

but this frame is a winner b/c:
it has control, b/c 16x20
it's not erratic, so you can have your control ALL the time
