Does anyone know if any retail head guards fit the H19? Thanks!
If you have an H19, you should be one of the few ppl who knows the answer to that question. Just sayin...
Nah, all the guys I know who I get them from dont know either. And it's not very hard to get an H19 if you have the money, just sayin...
Dude, if you have money to buy a freaking H19, you can afford to experiment with $5 grommets.
Ya, it's more of a time thing and I figured if anyone knew it would just make things that much easier. But thanks for your help.
The responses above are just plain...stupid...
Anyway, I don't think it will be easy to find the replacement as the mold and string pattern (possibly) does not correspond to any other retail stick. The H19 is closest to the PT57E (mold), so I would start there...
SO glad I'm not the only one who thought those responses were unbelievably needless!
Thanks, that's really interesting. I'll look into the I-Prestige grommet. The blx 6.1 18x20 head guard looks very similar (with the exception of 2 missing "W"s stamped at the top compared to my H19's) so I'll also try those. Thanks again!
Tried the BLX 6.1 head guard. Alignment was perfect but the grommet inserts themselves were too big, they didnt fit the H19 grommet holes in the frame... The search continues...
Any suggestions would still be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You could try uding gently a grommet grinder to clear the paint around the grommet holes...
I've done it several time to e.g. an YT Radical when I try fitting a CAP grommet..
I hope it helps
A dremel, awl and a beer.
Use the dremel to open up the holes, the awl to guide the grommets in and a beer to calm the nerves down.
Several beers and take your time. Tape down the grommet as you go along the strip.
lol sounds good. thanks guys!
Looking for retail grommets for H19
I´m looking for retail grommets which can fit on the Wilson pro stock H19 which has 18x20 string pattern and a beam of 21mm.
I have seen wilson racquets racquets in TW with these 2 specs, 18x20 string pattern and with a beam of 21mm and I have found these:
1) 2014 edition and blx 2012 edition- Wilson Six.One 95 18x20. string pattern 18 x20 and Beam of 21,5mm
2)2014 edition - Wilson Six.One 95 L 18x20. string pattern 18x20-beam 21mm
These grommets could fit on the H19 pro stock anyone could test them to verify if any can fit ok on H19, please???
Wilson has a cross reference maybe they could identify if you could use another.
need to know what grommets fit ok on H19 pro stock
I would like to buy some but before I would like to have contrasted info to know what gormmets I should buy which can fit OK in H19
I´m not a Wilson expert neither pro stock expert so I hope someone can help with these grommets.
If you're looking for a 95 si head frame there are five rackets with grommets that may fit:
1-Wilson K6.1 Team
2-Wilson Hyper ProStaff 6.5 MP
3-Wilson nPS 95
4-Wilson n6.1 95 Team
5-Wilson BLX 6.1 Team
grommets for h19 what can buy on TWEUROPE
Yes but they should be grommets which are available in the market today and Wilson produce nowdays I think that more of these grommets which you mention wilson don´t already produce.
I think that one of the 2 that I mentioned before which are available in the TWeurope page to buy, should fit, but I need contrasted info.
I live in Spain so these grommets should be available in TWEUROPE.
you can ´t find retail grommets for your H 19 , I bought 3 original H 22 grommets , but it was expensive US 40 each one, ,,,,if you want the info where bought it, drop me e mail:
40$ too much
I´m looking for other cheap options. I´m sure that is possible to get them within Europe for a reasonable price. 40$ is the price of 7 normal grommets!!:? is too much.
For this reason there would be good that somebody with acces to the grommets of the Wilson, per example with six one 95 L 18X20 with 21mm of beam could test if they fit on the H19.
I´m looking forward to someone does this test.
i am not familiar with the wilson pro stock h19 racquet.
is it a limited edition racquet that is very expensive?
I don´t know anymore about H19.
Maybe if you have a look to another threads can know a lot info about H19
Not sure if this is gonna help... But I lay my PT630 over H19 and find the dril pattern really similar. If you got some Prestige MP CAP grommets laying around maybe can try?
When the strings break on mine I will test if prestige MP CAPs fit a H19... for future reference.
head prestige-radical microgel 18x20 grommets don´t fit on H19
Hi tennis fans and H19 lovers
Next to check the Head microgel Prestige-radical 18x20 black normal and cap grommets, I can confirm that these don´t fit on H19 wilson pro stock.
The holes of H19 are too narrow and Head grommets too thick and these don´t fit.
Some Wilson retail grommets should fit on H19, maybe retail blade tour grommets or some others with 18x20 string pattern and 21mm of beam.
I hope that somebody can do some checks to know more info about what retail wilson grommets can fit on H19 wilson pro stock.
Anyone here with a 3D printer? I wonder if 3D printer objects could handle the amount of stress that grommets deal with.
Good idea movdqa.
However to find out what wilson retail grommets can fit on wilson h19 pro stock is very important to know really what fit OK to somebody have acces and can buy it.
Maybe the grommets of six one 95 L 18X20,six one 95 18X20..??
Anybody can do some testing, please??
Well, I assume that you already have grommets and that you can do a 3D scan and make another one.
I find the H19 to be the closest thing to PT630, from Wilson.
It is a 98 sq in, 21mm beam, very soft, plush racket.
I have a matched pair with a beautiful KBT (matte) PJ. Put them on the machine yesterday and the measured flex (strung) was RA53 and 54 on each of them! Super soft, but more powerful than the PT57A. Great control. Mine came with the handle shape like TK57 from Head.
THe mold is similar to the PT57E, string channel is different. Looks like the string spacing is similar as on the PT57A/Prestiges MP, however, the holes may be too tight to fit the Head grommets...have not tried it yet.
