Wilson H22 16x19 (V9 vs V8 & older)

In recent discussions about the H22 16x19, I have notice the pro stock V9 pj of the H22 16x19 has adopted the drill pattern of the Blade Pro, instead of the original H22 16x19 pattern used in V8, V7, etc.
I noticed it first when fellow TW posters were trying to verify whether they have a pro stock or if it was a retail BP. It was noticed that even the v9 pro stocks have the Blade Pro name printed on the racket.

Here is the difference between the BP drill pattern, and the old H22 drill pattern

Starting with the V7 BP, the new drill pattern was introduced for retail BP, but for the pro stock H22's, the original drill pattern was used.
Below are both H22 16x19, with the old drill pattern.

For anyone that has seen the H22 16x19, one of the most noticeable things about the grommet, is the side ends in a cut off piece, whereas the BP has a nice rounded finish with the Wilson logo.

I thought I would just point out these things to spread info. Anyone else have thoughts?

Im a little disappointed Madison is not using her cool dampener anymore!

So if i had a BPv9 and an H22v9 in front of me the only way to differentiate visually would be the grommet cut off?

Not necessarily. I posted in the H22 users thread and linked to here that it seems like the H22 V9 & V8 pj uses both the BP drill pattern and uncut grommets. The only way I can tell the difference, visually, is the trap door.

Wanted to provide some additional feedback. I was able to get my hands on a Blade Pro V9 16m demo and played it next to my H22s in the V9 pj. Still agree w/ the OP that the newer H22 drill pattern looks the same as the BP, but strung I think it is as different story. There is more space between mains on the BP, while the H22 is noticeably denser in the middle and very wide outside of the the 8 throat mains. This is honestly the first thing I notice when looking at a strung H22. You see a bit of this in the BP, but, imo, it is not obvious. It wasn't obvious when I bought a BP earlier in the year before I got my H22s (sold the BP b/c it was stock 344 swing weight and just a bit too much for me at the time). The BP is strung w/ ALU (I think 16 gauge, not listed on the string) and I use 4G Soft 16L in my H22s, so it's possible that this is an illusion.

Also, I wanted to point out that the V8 H22 seems to come in both the old and new drill pattern. Previously, I think I said that it appeared to change for the V8, but I guess I did not do a search far enough in the past. But, I found this out re-watching Tan Tennis' H22 16m vs 18m video, his H22 V8 16m has the old drill pattern.

Side note on the BP demo, it was a bit weird. It arrived w/ lead all the way up the inside of both sides of the throat. After I removed all of the lead, I measured the stick, and it came in at 332g strung, 346 swing weight, 34.8cm balance. The bumper sits flush to the frame, so can't tell if there is any lead underneath. Overall, a frustrating demo.

Do you think that the person who demoed the racket before you put all of that on the frame and just didn't remove it?

On the throat, most likely. I actually meant that the QC on this BP demo was frustrating. I tried to add weight in the butt cap, but it still incredibly head heavy. As a long time Radical user, I am a huge fan of the H22/BP mold. So when TW got the BP V9 stock I was encouraged b/c their listed specs were significantly lower than the one I previously owned - it had a similar balance but heavier and stiffer. I originally typed a bunch of other stuff about my demo and deleted it b/c it was getting too wordy and off my original point.

Do you have some pics of both? Would love to compare it. I do notice the center 8 mains on H22 16m seems more dense.

Honestly, it's tough to see in pictures, while being quite obvious in person. I did try to take some pictures, but not sure if some of the detail was lost on the strings or the image gets distorted on the edges due to the wide angle lens. I tried to look up some images on e *bay, but it's hard to tell w/ shadows, crooked strings, and if the picture is off-centered the density is distorted. It is a weird feeling though, when I look at the strings on a BP my first thought would never go to the density in the mains, but it's a different story w/ the H22.

Also, the very first time I ever hit w/ an H22, it was my buddy's in a Burn PJ (so the old drill pattern), the 2 things I noticed were that 1) the outside mains were not perfectly vertically aligned (they are on an angle where the top hole is closer to the edges and the bottom hole is closer to the center); and 2) the center mains were way more dense than the outer mains. In images I've seen online, I never noticed these two details. It's also possible that you might not notice if no one told you what to look for.
