Wilson Hammer 7.2 95 - modified to Pro Staff Classic specs

I picked up a Wilson Hammer 7.2 95 from thrift store today and as the frame looks to be a very similar mold to the PS Classic, I was wondering if I could lead it up to PS Classic specs.

My PS Classic with a Fairway and Overgrip comes to 357 g. it is an 18 x 20 version.
The Hammer without grip was 252 g. I added 52 g of lead into the handle and another 10 gr under the grip towards the center of the racket. With a recycled Wilson leather and an Overgrip it came to exactly 357 g. So the weight is pretty much there, but the balance is not exactly there...but I guess close enough.

Has anybody ever done this before? How would you think will the Hammer play now? Is this Hammer a PS Classic with no weight in the handle or a completely different racket and bringing the specs up will not result in anything good?

Interested in your thoughts. Tomorrow I will go out and play and also give the hammer a test ride... I'll report back

Agreed, the 2 sticks feel different, but the strings in them are very different...too different to compare. What I can say though after hitting with both a bit - the both feel quite good and solid. The control on the Hammer with a 16*18 string bed is not as good and the really old and quite loos strings increase that feeling. Never the less, quite fun to play with like that.

Anybody still plays or has played with Hammer rackets? I need to try one at some point that is not modified, just to know, what it feels like.
