I like the K95 very much, I own a 18x20 and am looking at getting a second K95 - would you be consistent and stick with another 18x20 or change it up a little with the 16x18? Your thoughts are appreciated!

Get another of the same.

Nothing worse than breaking a string when you are playing great then having to change to different equipment...it throws you off. Best to keep the variables to a minimum in tennis.

Agreed, I have an AN95 in both string pattens and I would much rather stick with one version than have 2 different pattens in my bag.

You'll be surprised how different both these frames play due to the string patten only.

Btw, I can't stand the string movement of my AN95 16x18. With anything other than poly mains, the thing looks like a mess within a couple of shots.

18x20

I played with both, and preferred the 18x20. It really is a good stick. I felt like I had a more consistent response from the stringbed of the 18x20. The 16x18 has variable spacing in the mains, and it seems to produce a different feel/spin/power/control depending on where one makes contact on the string bed.

I'd say stick with the 18x20.

If it's variations on a theme you're interested in then two frames will give you more scope for experimenting with string types and tensions.

Agree. Espeically you will find 16x18 and 18x20 is totally different. Myself is using 16x18 and just sold out my 18x20.

I can also confirm this. The 16x18 is a completely different animal and switching between one and the other mid-match will throw your game completely. Having said that, I keep a k95 16x18 in my bag and I enjoy a bash with it every now and again, but it does require a slight modification to your swing to get the same results which can't be good for consistency.

Okay, I will get another 18x20. Its probably best. If I want to use an open string pattern I can weigh down my Hammer 6.4.
