Wilson K Six One Tour 95

Wow,375 grams for a racket, that is some weight....That is almost Sampras like. You must be quite strong the wield that amount,I'd be knackered after about an hour or so.
What strings do you use?and at what tension?

Hi
I used to lead my pro staff 85's up to 390g with even balance.... That was a while ago mind. I played my PS 88's with just an added 12g at 3&9

I string with VS gut 17g at 64lb in a mid size for a mid plus I'll use 16g and string at 66lb

I've flirted with poly but my arm can't cope !

Regards
Mark

Grab these frames while they're available !!

The 3 I've got should last out my playing days.... I'm 40 now so another 5 years of singles at my current standard (I hope) after that I'll get me a 120 incher and take up doubles..... Ha ha

No, I can not check them if they are foam filled. Obviously the only way is take the grip off and the cap to check it. I am not really worry about it. I will weight them on Monday because I don't have an scale. I don't have a scale to check the balance but I can attest all my three sticks are the same height light like my PS 95 I own.

Hey Mark, have you tried the poly in the cross or something softer in the cross like isospeed professional classic?

The string movement really annoys me in the all gut jobs !

I know what you mean about string movement, I use string savers and that helps a fair bit... I've used champions choice a fair bit with the gut in the mains but the poly loses tension quickly while the gut keeps it, hence you end up with too much difference between mains & crossed in my experience, I'm actually going to try gut mains with NXT tour crosses at some point soon.

Put 10g of lead under around the hoop and going to have it string tomorrow around 23kg. Probably going to use mantis power synthetic. Hope the extra lead I can some power and stability put of it.

Instead of 10g of lead I actually pull 6 gram off. The swing weight is up just a tad and tension is at 23/21.5. I have to be honest comparing to my Pro Staff Original 95 this stick is a bit lighter by 10g. I am not sure the owner before me modify the Pro Staff Original but the K-95-Tour have better feel than my PS95.

The Pro Staff 6.0 95 is made of Braided Graphite & Kevlar. Is it possible that this one with the k-factor paintjob is actually made from the same material as the real k-factors: nCoded High Modulus Graphite / Carbon Black?

About this being leftovers from Dolgopolov... Isn't it more likely this is indeed pro-stock, but for general players under contract with Wilson? I mean, it was available in all gripsizes.

Greetz,
Jurgen

Are these still available and do they ship to the U.S.? I need to do a money conversion to figure the price.

Yep, that is more likely indeed.

As far as I can tell the only named players using this frame is Dolgopalov and Edberg on the senior circuit. Maybe others do too !

Considering going back to 18x20 so I may be selling mine

Mark

Edberg doesn't play with this on the senior tour. It seems to be an actual 6.1 Tour, last time I checked.

Well, yes, it's been asserted by someone but the picture backing it up showed the racket wasn't a paintjobbed PS 95.

Out of curiosity, I read through all the posts and 3 threads on these frames, and have 2 questions:

1. No one ever made mention how they played vs a retail 6.1 tour 90 (or BLX 90)?

2. Were the original one sold in the UK the same as the latter ones in Germany?

Thanks

2. No. The UK racquet was the Del Potro 18x20 paintjob of the Hyper Pro staff 6.1 stretch while the German sold racquet was the Dolgopolov 16x18 paintjob of the Pro staff 6.0 95.

1. http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/playtests/TRIPB04.html

Hope that helps. Damn fine feeling and playing racquets that I just can't help coming back to.

Beware - Addictive.

Thanks. I remember seeing mention of the 18's, but I thought it was a mixed batch of 16's and 18's.

I play 16's, so am trying to get a comparison on the K Factor 90 Tour against the German-store frame 95, 16's, with K Factor PJ. I never played the Pro Staff 95, so.....

Thanks for the feedback.
