Looks like a serious copy of the PT630. Can you take some more photos of the grommets outside of the head of the racquet?

I am guessing this is one of the early prototypes Fed played with (those also had 8 strings in the throat).

Anyone else notice that the grommet strips go the full width of the frame, around the whole hoop? not cap grommets that pull together when the strings are tensioned. nice!

Then you wouldn't call the PS90 a box beam either? It may not come out well on the photos due to the reflection but it is definitely a box beam
That beam is more Prestige than it is a Pro Staff. The beam on Prestige are slightly rounder, whereas the beam on Pro Staff 6.0 lineage frames are boxy with sharp edges. Prestige doesn't have sharp edges. So no, not a box beam.

I keep telling you the beam is like a PS90 yet you keep choosing to ignore it. I have many Prestiges, I know what I'm talking about.

I'm not ignoring it, I'm letting the pictures tell me what kind of beam it is, and I don't qualify what you posted as box beam.

I grew up on Prestige Mids, I know what I'm talking about.

^^^^^ So how small do the fillets have to be to make it a 'box'? Do you have to be able to shave with it? @sixone90 knows what he's talking about.

For compromise sake I'd describe it as somewhere between a box beam and flat beam; erring towards flat beam. The front edges pictured here aren't boxy enough.

IMO a true box beam would have the front edge widths nearly as wide as the beamwidth and not one-third the width as shown.

Its a flat beam like a Prestige Mid. There's not enough surface area at the front edge for it to be a Box Beam. But oh how I would love to play with it.

Hahhahahaah! I'm wondering how many people on here, that aren't modelers or draftsmen know what that means (fillets)? That was funny though.

Thanks. Glad someone got it. I know there are a few mechanical engineers on this site. (although I've gone over to the dark, but lucrative, side of IT)
