Hi All, Wanted to reach out to the community if any one has noticed the same thing and/or has any interesting pieces of information regarding this.

Trying to save money I buy Wilson Natural Gut (40ft) and use half for my "Champion's Choice" setup with Luxilon Alu Power Rough but I noticed the Wilson Natural Gut string has changed from 2022 to 2023. The 2022 Wilson Natural Gut looked like the same string that came with the Wilson Champions Choice set. It was much lighter in color (almost white). But since 2023, the string is much more yellower, which is very similar to the Luxilon Natural Gut.

I can definitely feel the difference in play. The older (whiter string) was more livelier than the newer version (yellower) which is q but muted similar to Babolat Natural Gut.

Does any one know if this change is permanent or just temporary? Any other interesting information/ feedback about this would be appreciated. I miss the old version of string.

If I recall correctly, back in 2017, Luxilon started making the Natural Gut for Wilson, instead of Babolat. If you check the red package (yellow) gut, it should say Made In Belgium, or more recently Made In Ireland. The white package (white) Gut, if it says Made In France on the package and string, then it is most likely a pre-2017 package. The current Champions Choice will say Made In Belgium/Ireland

Oh I see, I will check this once I get back home. It didn't occur to me to check where the strings were made. I will revert back. Thank you for this insight. :)

BTW - I have been trying to buy some Wilson Natural gut from them for over 6 months now......... still out of stock...........

Yea I know, its been so hard to get them now. And I miss the sales they used to have in Nov and Dec. Thats when I would stock up because they are expensive. It sucks that the new ones dont play as the old ones and they cost more now due to no sales. :(

perhaps they are trying to emulate the Klip model........... waiting about a year and then coming back with a huge price hike. hope not....

Oh no! I hope not because they already raised the prices since later last year. A set used to be around USD 42 and now its USD 46. Hopefully no more price increases. Back when I wanted to stock up, I didnt have disposable income to purchase. Now that I have some money to splurge the price isnt right! Lol.
