Wilson nCode Tour 90 : Grip question? pls help.

I just got my hand on a Wilson nCode Tour 90.
I want to change the leather grip to a more a more cushioned grip or slightly softer grip. I want to make it a little more comfortable to hit by reducing the shock.

My only concern is that changing the grip will alter the balance on the racquet. Leather grip is heavier than most synthetic cushioned grip.
Any suggestion???

Thank you.

A solution to your problem is take off your original leather grip and put a Wilson Pro overgrip underneath. Then go ahead and re-wrap the lather grip tightly. And then warap a Wilson Pro overgrip over the leather grip.
That way, you should make it feel softer.

If you feel the grip is too big, wrap a tourna grip over the leather grip. Because tourna grip is thinner.

These way, you won't affect the balance of the racquet. It will affect a little but not much.

Hope this help.

Hi Alex, Thanks for the input.
Beside overgrip under leather grip, Any other thing/suggestion i can use to soften the leather grip?

Btw if i choose to use synthetic cushioned grip over leather, Which brand and what type is the best in the market? any recomendation?

Thank you.

just replace the leather grip with a synthetic replacement grip but add the appropriate amount of lead tape on the handle before u add the new grip probly a 0.2 - 0.3 ounce difference or something
