Awesome, I think the crazy weather slowed things down as I thought you’d have it this weekend. Regardless, interested in your thoughts on it!

Yeah, the weather has made things a bit more unpredictable on top of all the other unpredictability. I’m also not sure USPS updates are super accurate so it could show up sooner. I can’t wait!

I see people are to lazy to read the threads so to sum up the state of our knowledge at this time...

These are only available through Wilson.com.

Mold wise:

H22 = Blade Pro (available in 16x19 and 18x20)*
H19 = Ultra Pro (available in 16x19 and 18x20)*

* - the hairpin handle shape on the Blade Pro 16x19 and Ultra Pro 16x19 is not flat but octagonal, you won't be able to put Head pallets on those, as for the Blade Pro 18x20 at least 1 poster seems to have a closer to prostock harpin handle shape

Layup wise:
H22 = Blade Pro - according to some posters the feel is the same as in prostocks, we have no way of knowing for sure but testers think these are the same but they are foam filled
Ultra Pro 16x19 - we don't know, the racquets haven't shipped yet**
** - exception being Australia (courtesy of @Classic-TXP-IG MID )

Specs QC:
Blade Pro - typical Wilson QC (non existent), the specimens are usually over advertised specs - heavier, less HL and so on...
Ultra Pro 16x19 - the racquets haven't shipped yet but there's no reason why the QC should differ in comparison to the Blade Pros so brace yourselves

Grommets:
H22 = Blade Pro - the grommets WON'T fit as the drill and spacing, at least on the 16x19, is different in the lower hoop in comparison to the prostock counterpart***
H19 = Ultra Pro - the grommets should fit as the drill and spacing are the same on both 16x19 and 18x20 as on their prostock counterparts***
*** - the grommets are supposed**** to be available only through Wilson.com at the end of the year (2020) or the beginning of the next (2021)
**** - some doubt that they ever be available because they were supposed to be on sale on the 10th but the date was pushed back - we call this Grommet Gate ;)

Hi, thanks for the info!

Are you sure the Blade Pro (16x19) grommets won't fit the H22 pro stock (16x19)? Have people tried this?

Yay! I finally know the specs of my BP.

346 g static
32.5 balance
349 swing weight.

I think the thing that I was having issues with was when the balance was 33.5. Can't wait to hit with it next weekend once the cold front clears out.

I’m dialed in with three of these frames. Now it is just hitting baskets of services to get consistent hitting spots along with gym and on-court training. This will be the real comparison for me with the Prestige Mid 360+. The serve. It is kinda strange to be training and nothing to play in.

Thanks for your reply. But the top part of the grommets should align, right? So I can always just use the Blade Pro Bumper on my H22.

hi! I have been using the blade pro 16x19 for 2 weeks now and I am very satisfied. I only feel it lacks a bit of control.
can you suggest some string setups that can give me more control with the racket (I've used the racket with Tourna Silver 7 tour 1.25) ?

tour sniper is a great control poly.

I tried Lynx tour on BP... that champagne color one.. yeah it's really solid. It compliments the butter so much.. it tastes like butter on a little golden brown morning toast.

Been so hard to play these days but latest outing with Hyper G Soft at 55lbs on the 16x19 was great. Don't love Hyper G soft compared to hyper g but at these higher tensions I'd rather a bit lower performance from string than to be sore or have mental hesitation from the pain.

I've been doing a comparison with my 18x20 blade I had committed to and am finally ready to make the switch. I'll miss the flat screamers and slice of the 18x20 but they aren't big parts of the game. Now where those coupons at!?

And second hit for me today with Hyper G Soft (50.5 lbs) was stellar. A comfy string that's crisp, not mushy. If these vibes remain for a few more hits, then I'll have my new go-to string. Glad it doesn't stray very far away from Hyper G performance or feel, for the most part, just maybe a touch more comfy but keeping a certain crispness.

You're making an attractive case for HGS. Let us know how many hours you get out of it before it starts to lose playability.

If you do a side by side comparison the H22 grommet is a little longer, so what I did was cut the blade pro grommet in the middle and then put it on the racquet and it’ll fit with about an 1/8” space in the center. I’ll post a picture if Tapatalk ever works again.

Played my usual hitting partner today. Have been using the RF97 mostly but broke this bad boy out for set 3. After the match he offered up that whatever I was doing in the third set had so much added action to the ball that it was hell to deal with.

Not quite as confident with consistently hitting my flat first serve with it compared to the RF yet , but the consistency and options on the court are definitely driving me to start using this as my only weapon.

New BP showed up on time (thanks Power Player!) and strung it up with Hyper-G Soft with the plan to test it between the end of ALTA mixed and the start of spring men’s ALTA. Mixed playoff match yesterday and rolled my ankle in the 3rd game. Finished the match (and won!) but no more tennis for a while now. I will say that’s it a sharp looking racket!

Damn that sucks abut your ankle. I hope you recover fast. I think many folks will be interested in your experiences with this lighter swinging BP.

Thanks man. I’m probably not the exact profile Wilson had in mind when they released this stick but curiosity got the better of me when you said you had a lighter one so figured it was worth a try. I’ll report back when I’m mended and have had to chance to swing it.

Great, thanks! Yes, a picture would be great if you have one.

Cheers

Been using my Blade Pro (16 x 19) with Hyper G @ 48 lbs. for about a month now and am loving it!

It's a weird combo of feeling light, but having good plow through.

I was using a Donnay Pro One 97 due to arm pain, but this Blade Pro is now my go to stick and my arm feels fine.

Good job Wilson!

Just hit with the Blade Pro with VS Touch/ 4g @ 55/52. Found the feel, spin, touch was looking for with this frame. Awesome.
Best full poly set up T1:BK @ 48.
Headed to Klip Legend/Ghost Wire.

QC issues aside, the Donnay Pro One 97 16x19 is a great stick. I’ve purchased other racquets but keep going back to the Donnay. Haven’t tried the Blade.

Didn't you used to string up the RF97 to 57 or 58 with gut in a gut/poly hybrid? Why lower with the BP?

String at higher tension? Full poly?

I also have to go that high or a few lbs higher to control the ball when using gut mains. Three to four lbs lower in the crosses as well

When I get over 50lbs with several different poly strings the frame becomes a bit board like. Settled at 48lbs with T1: Black Knight and has plenty of control without robbing the frame of the power and touch which are some of the highlights. Would imagine if you go up in tension 2-3lbs from wherever you are with BHS7T it will help with control if not try a more muted string. 50lbs with T1:BK felt a bit too muted in my frames.
