Is the blade pro stock 18*19 similar to a h22 or like h22 is there variations in the blade pro stock 18*19 out there ?

Sorry if that’s a stupid question

Don't know for sure, but I've hit with a bunch of pro stock Blades in both 16x19 and 18x20 and the frames themselves all pretty much had the same feel. Unless Wilson happened to do a special and unusual layup for a player using 18x19, I'd expect the feel of the frame itself to be pretty much like the other pro stock Blades, which again is very different from H22. Not much variation in feel of pro stock Blades in my experience (at least from V7 era cosmetic onwards), but their feel is on the all time favorite list of mine.

The H22 aficionados might know, but I haven't seen a 18x19 H22 yet, and don't know of any plans for a retail 18x19 BP or Blade.

My 18x19 pro stock doesn't play like my kblade pro stocks even though they share the same beam width. The layup feels firmer with the 18x19. In my opinion, it sorta sits in between the kblades and an H22. The grip shape is also different on my 18x19, it feels slightly larger in the hand versus the kblades. Here are pictures of the buttcaps of both, if you look closely you'll notice the 12/6 bevels on the 18x19 are longer which gives it a different shape causing it to feel more rectangular/less round than the 16x19.

I found it that at least for 18x20 has pretty high launch angle and pretty powerful that often have to change my grip to more wester to control it.

Which BP is recommended, 16/19 or 18/20?

I think the 16/19 plays a LOT better, because it really softens the response of the frame
from spin and launch, it helps as well, but mostly the racket has a lot more touch and is closer to the H22 in the open pattern

I do not know which racket other players have, but the 18/20 pattern is a lot tighter than the 16/19, especially outside of the middle
this will have an effect on spin, launch and power - and it has, coming from somebody who played both

After many years of being a Blade denier, I am now maining the BP 16x19. It is a fantastic racquet and I've been lucky to acquire a few with reasonably close specs to each other.

It just does everything so well and it the feel is outstanding with my current gut/poly setup.

What is your gut hybrid setup? Do u think that string setup would work for the standard blade 16/19?

Lux gut mains at 55 with element rough crosses at 53.

It could work in the standard blade. I'm a big fan of gut/poly these days. Especially in these player/control frames.
Thanks! Did you demo against the standard blade? I am currently demoing the bpro 9816/19, standard 98 16/19 and blade 100. Coming from rf97 and trying to make a decision. Currently the 100 is the most fun while the bp 98 is the most impressive (but tougher to use)

I actually avoided the pro for a long time because of my dislike of the standard blades. Lol.

It's not even a contest for me. I'll use the pro any day but not the standard.

Does anyone know where I can get some Blade Pro v7 16x19 racquets in a 4 1/4 or 4 1/8 grip size? Struggling to find any new racquets online
the 7, 8, and 9 are all the same drill pattern. edit. i read grommets instead of rackets. haha. sorry. but they are all the same with the 7 seeming to have a little more variability in SW.
