Wilson Pro Staff 97 grip too big?

I bought grip size 2, but it feels more like size 3. Could it be be because of the Wilson Synthetic Leather grip? What is its thickness?

I've been playing with Wilson racquets for about 10 years now and just purchased the PS97 a couple of weeks ago and the grip size seems normal to me. Try taking the synthetic grip off and reapplying it pulling a tad bit tighter. It should go down half a grip size for you.

I haven't used any current Wilson racquet in size 3, but ...

Comparing my RF97's handle (in size 3) to a TK82S in size 3, both with Fairway leather + Wilson Pro OG, the Wilson felt a bit bigger but not a full size bigger.

Try fiddling with the replacement grip as per Maniac's suggestion.

I also bought grip size 2 and it seemed a bit bigger. I believe its because the grip it comes with is a little plush. I replaced mine with a Tourna Thin Grip and its good to go! Try that or the Babolat feel with is 1.55mm and the Tourna is 1.5 I believe.

I've been meaning to ask something similar, the handle doesn't feel too big, but the butt cap feels huge and like it does't fit the racquet for me.
