Wilson Pro Staff V14.0

The gloss finish, so far has been great. It feels more solid than the fuzzy-feel finish, almost like the racquet feels firmer or something. Durability is much better, no chipping or rubbing off like the fuzzy-feel. I had wear AND chips from the fuzzy-feel ones just from simply putting them in my bad next to each other.
I will post a pic today.
Color is no matter to me, but the paint on the v13…just not sturdy. Glad to hear that’s been addressed.

Sorry if I was not clear.. The ones I ordered were v13 not the new one coming out v14, so the issue only got addressed because I custom ordered it that way.

Cheers for the feedback and thanks in advance for posting the pic! Will look forward to seeing that (y) Glad to hear the paint’s holding up nicely. I’d seen some people on here post negative comments about the gloss finish on the Six.One (18x20) so I was worried Wilson had switched something up.

As promised, here are my two custom Pro Staff 97 v13. No regrets.
Bonus - Here are a couple of pics of Tommy Haas' racquet that he gave us, through a friend.

Thanks for that! Very very nice. What does the carbon fiber at the top of the hoop look like in person? I’m debating whether to go with that or just plain gloss black.

NP.
That's a personal type choice, but to me, the carbon fiber looks great, I wish the whole racquet was the shiny/polished carbon fiber with just the graphics as solid color.

With Roger's retirement, it will be interesting to see what Wilson does with the RF97:
1. Issue the new copper color or
2. Re-issue V11 as a collectible

Hes prob still gonna play a bunch of exhibitions, potentially take over from Borg as Laver Cup captain etc... so he will either get the new paintjob or get an exclusive RF paintjob, dont think they'll reissue an old one unless its the 90

I'm thinking about investing in a set of Pro Staffs, but with the v14 on the horizon, I wonder if it's maybe better to wait and demo that first. Can anyone please repost or send me the photo from the leaked catalogue again, because the link above is not working anymore? I'd like to see if I like the new design at all, might help me decide.

Don't have the pic anymore but its like the blades but with a Gold>Copper/Bronze finish - seems to not have the black up the top possibly

Dm me plz

I was watching a Tennis Brothers video on Youtube and saw his partner using a gold racquet, maybe it's just a custom painted v13, but possibly the v14? I'm not sure what other racquet it could be.

At least the Wilson and ProStaff tags are readable, which from a branding and design POV is an enhancement to the gorgeous PJs of the blades.

I would have sticked to the black design (but not all black, because boring) and have red and yellow stripes applied to it in a similar way Head does it with the Gravity line. This way the brand identity and legacy to the PS85 would still be in place. Spec wise nothing's really changing, but the feel could differ, if the paint is glossy (IMO velvet rackets are more muted). In general a good move to give Blade, Ultra, Clash and PS distinct colors and leaving the black era behind. But copper... Not so sure.

thanks
this stuff was all leaked on here months ago... not much of an insider if they're just getting it now

I'm assuming those are just horrible digitized images and that It will look a little more subtle like the Blade in real life.

I'm more intrigued because that one pic of the regular 97 looks like it has a leather grip :D:D

thanks

insider guy has been caught out taking content from here and hashtagtennis now he credits the source at least

So the PS X is does not have the 6.1 beam construction? Be the specs it looks like it will have the design of the PS and RF 97

Maybe they just got tired of calling it the "Six.One" 100, and just instead calling it "X".

If true, the historian in me doesn't like it. Because the 6.1 actual means a lot to other people.

I hope there is a PS XL (for Light), if 315g is the unstrung weight, who knows what I will get give Wilson's QC track record.
