Wilson Pro Stock Revisited

I came in contact with this guy who is very knowledgeable on the subject of Wilson pro racquets and here are some of the things he told me:

1. He refers to Tursunov's racquet as K19 and he calls them K19/K22 instead of H19 and H22 as we call them here.

2. He informed me of the existance of P25 - a 100" racqet, flex 65, 23mm, 18x20, painted like a Blade (Florent Serra)

3. He previously owned Del Potro's actual frame - it's Pro Staff 6.1 Classic

4. Also there are some pros with nBlade 98 extended frames

This has got my attention  ... is there anything more you can add in terms of details on this frame?

Watching the Lacko match today, seems like he's using the PS 6.1 18x20 under a blx blade 98 PJ. I don't know if anyone saw the same?

Along with many others, I thought Del Potro probably used the HPS 6.1 (I posted a pic on TT a few years ago of the young Del Po wielding one of these - or it certainly looked like it)... so, over to you, Pioneer.:)

I have two of Florent Serra's frames (kblade tour matte pj). It's not 100", and it's 22mm thick, don't know the flex. Maybe his new blx pj is this "p25", but not his old kblade tour pj. What I can say for sure is that his new blx blade pj is not a H22 looking at the pics of Brisbane tournament.

I think P25 is the racquet that makarova and errani use. It lookes huge for a wilson and it doesn't had PWS. Their both using BLXTour PJ.

Hi Pioneer,
may be I'm wrong with a 'pro stock grip',
Its a bit narrow leather grip, about 19-20 mm,with small letters 'wilson'.
I can get by retail only old wide one, similar to retail k6.1 tour grip.
I have a foto, under the grip you can see a metal plate.

basso, I don't think it's pro stock leather it's just that the guys who put the leather grip on stretched it really tight so it's narrower. I had one with my H19 and it's narrower than the Wilson leather grip I bought from the store, but otherwise there's no difference in the feel

Interesting thread... looks like the 2 frames I sold are possibly the nblade 98 extended ones.

Basso, I think the frame that you have there is the pro stock blade. The inside of the frame is flat and the outside of the head is curved right? Maybe thats what the p25 is. I've got two here in 16 19 and one in 18 20. Great stick isn't it?

How do you feel it compares to your h22? Feels nicer to me, but my h22's are open pattern and fairly stiff?

I think the Wilson H25 is a copy of the Extreme MP, so pretty stiff, not like this p25 at all..

Very happy with this stick, would like to compare it to an h19 to complete my search, have you hit one?

Sold it...

is it a "p25"?

very beautiful and solid stick, nothing to do with retail kb98,
yes, the inside of the frame is flat and the outside of the head is curved
i think it was pro stock KBlade 98,
grommet code GR182-pro (retail kb98 - 182TT),
the holes placement is the same but the pro stock has small holes and thin grommet tubes,
so you cann't fix retail grommet on pro stock racket,
straight beam 21mm,
i have some pics ...
