Hey, I was wondering if anybody has any experience using the wilson prostaff 85 and could tell me how it compares to the wilson blx six one tour. I know the headsize is abit smaller but I was wonering if it's harder to use and what the differences are in performance.

Thanks

In what way is it easier to use? I would think that the smaller sweetspot would make it much harder to hit with.

The PS85 has a different feel to it because it's weight is less polarized than the BLX90. The BLX90 has a higher swingweight and more power because of more weight in the head, which is balanced by more weight in the handle. The PS85 has more weight in the throat area and less in the head and handle. This yields less swingweight and lower power.

I think the PB10Mid is closer in feel to the BLX90 than the PS85. The only current stick I know of that comes close to the PS85 in terms of feel is the Bab PSLGT and it still is very different.

The PS85 has been reissued. I suggest doing a demo between it and the BLX90 and I would also throw in both of the BLX95s into the demo. This might help you understand how various racquet characteristics help, or hinder, your game.

not really. when you think about it logically, how big is a tennis ball? if skill is up to par, you really don't need much surface area on a racquet to hit that tiny ball. 85 sq.in. is plenty big to hit such a tiny ball. :)
