I have a PS 85 where the specs in the throat are in a gray/silver color. It has a black butt cap and the letters are GNK. Which year was this version issued?

Could you post some photos of this frame?

If this is a first generation PS85, it would be an extremely interesting and unusual find, as "G" would indicate 1984 production, and "K" would be the contractor code (likely Kawasaki). At the time, black and white buttcaps co-existed, but they were not typically found on the same model. I have only seen Gen I PS85 with white butt caps, so this black one would be a first if it's original to the frame.

Kawasaki had significant early ties with SanHoSun (which eventually became Wilson's main contractor some years later), so it is at least within the realm of possibility that Wilson was testing the waters in Taiwan right from the start of PS85 production, even though they didn't shift production to SanHoSun until 1989!
