Wilson Python/ Defyer - Released July 2026

That's just nuts that they've released batches of them with the name Redline, when its supposed to be called Defyer.

When are they going to release versions with the correct racquet name?

The whole misprinted name / rushed one color design etc makes for such a bodged launch.
Interesting. I see that on the photos on the Wilson Aus and tennis only website. Maybe that’s why they call it the “concept” edition

The title of the PH Tennis video says it all. How are retailers meant to know what to call the thing on their site after all this “mystique”

Actually, Mystique is better than DeepFryer for me.
DeepFryer feels like a Scottish insult. “We’ll beat your Fitba team and DeepFryer your favourite food”

I haven't seen anyone mention it here but the unseeded brit Arthur Ferry who just made it to the semifinals is using the python, if he ends up winning that would be crazy

It has been mentioned, but the crazy part is, imagine if the first wilson’s mens grand slam winner since Federer does it with a black prototype nameless racquet (at least for the average customer). It would be a nice punishment for wilson marketing team

Anyone in the US have suggestions for picking up a “Redline” release racquet?
Haven’t ordered from abroad before and I’m assuming I can’t just do it through TWE

Eh, the average fan would ask, "what's that racquet?" Remember, Madison Keys won AO w/ a blacked out Ezone when they were launching the latest version.

No other mens atp player has won with a wilson racket since fed? thats kinda crazy

It's unfortunate for Wilson that they had to change the name because after seeing all the official promotional stuff now, they were balls deep on the Redline name and the whole race car theme. Torque shaft, Fuel strings... They've even got the net cord painted into a red line at the launch events.

Very interested to see how the 100 comes out in the wash compared with the Extreme MP launching next week.

Not to mention it'd be a British wildcard at Wimbledon, so it will be replayed forever and have movies made about it.

And 90% of non nerd club players won't make the connection that he did it with a Wilson Defyer.

Good job on Wilson on radically changing the paintjob after flooding the tour with it.

There was talk a few pages back of a blacked out paintjob coming for the US Open, so even the red one won't get much time to shine.

I just got the Small D, will get it strung now. Can’t wait to play around with it.

Will demo the Big D later in week, maybe I’ll get one for wife, because she has been enjoying a bit bigger head size.

Can’t wait to ”load the ball and make it dip.”

Some interesting wording coming out of the reviews at the Wilson events. One being that the Shift is no more, and the other being a lot of mention of 'lateral bending' almost like the Wilson marketing team had told them to include it.

I'm sure it will be welcome news to the marketing team if he wins.

I will pick one of these up down the road for cheap in the classifieds when the nerds on here decide these racquets are “too demanding” and move onto the next upcoming release.

Order it, the retail test racket 98 today.
Hopefully, I get it on Saturday but when it goes bad, I must wait until next week (Germany)

So who's gonna be reporting first whether the sweetspot on the 98 retail is as small as on the 98 prototype? Curious if the fact that the 100 is the gem of the line still stands

Going to give it a week or two to see what the impressions are between the 98 and 100. U
I'm used to smaller heads and always find 100s a bit clunky feeling, but the D100 seems to be getting the most love.

The racquets are already been sold in shops in Australia in limited quantities; It’s a very intense red with a tinge of orange.
