Let's try this again:) This is a club for ALL Wilson racquet owners, regardless of smaller line. NOT JUST K FACTOR, this includes ALL nCode, W and Hyper Hammer racquets as well. Post all you want, info, questions, etc. Tell us your gear and post pics too. Let's pay homage to a really great racquet manufacturer!

I use a K Six-One 95 16x18 (1 month old) strung with Wilson Stamina 16 @ 58 lbs. Also a K Tour bag.

So let's start with gear. Post what gear you use and pics!

OUTSIDERS WELCOME. Just no slamming Wilson.
 
I play the Wilson [K]Factor Kobra Team FX.Switched for the APDC+ just 2 weeks ago.I love it and i love being involved with wilson...Ill have pictures posted when i get my spare which should be in the next couple of days :D
 
That's cool... do you like the Kobra? I considered buying it but 100 sq. in is too big a headsize for me:)

So does the FX tech make the racquet play different at all than, say, vs. the Kobra Tour without FX?
 
Sign me up! I keep a bunch of six-ones in my bag. I play with the Nsix-one but also keep a K6.1, and 2 psc 6.1's as backups.

All great racquets... how do you feel the n6.1 compares to the K6.1? Also, which Six-One do you have? 95 or 90?

Ksix-one 95 18X20
I tried to change from my apd+,when I tried k90 I was amazed by the feeling and thought this is the racquet from now on,but dissapointed I couldnt handle the small headsize combined with the weight.
I didnt even thought about k95 becouse it was not popular on TW (at least what I think) so I tried many racquets until this.

I have the K six-one 95 and all of my sticks are 16X18. Moving from a K to the N (or N to the K) is really an easy switch. They have similar feels where I didn't have to modify my strokes or make any adjustments to get the same level of depth/spin in my shots. I've got a little bit more touch on my volleys with the K and a little bit more pace on my serve with the N, but the difference is minimal. I have been playing more with the N6.1 and would like to pick up a few more if I can find them.

I love the Kobra thats why i switched from such a great racket :P and every racket ive ever used has been 100 sq in..I dont think its that big but if it gets past 100 thats too big for me..And ive never tried anything below 100.Anyway,yes the FX helps you swing faster generating better topspin and kick serves.Its awesome,im waiting for my spare from my old coach.

So what strings do you guys use on your Wilsons? Does anyone use Luxilon? If so, can anyone tell me how they think it plays.
 
I have 2 hammer 5.2, 2 hyper hammer 5.2, 4 nblade, 3 kblade 98, and 2 kobra tour.

I use wilson enduro pro in the mains and sensation in the crosses.

My last non wilson racket was the prince cts response in 1994! I

the hammers were a great stick! i dont use them all but i never get rid of my gear. i am an aggressive player, big lefty kick serve, rely on big forehand to dictate, love the net in my older age!
 
Sign me up I guess, I have a KBT I got today, but it weighs 12.1 oz with nothing extra apart from the overgrip and string.

I just switched from Prince TT graphite to the k90 tour. I never would have considered such a change, but I was loaned a k90 when I broke the strings in my backup. The K90 was a perfect fit for my flat groundstroke game. Now I just need to save for a k90 backup!

So I guess I'm a Wilson man now after 25 yrs as a prince man.

I play it up old school!

I have six Wilson Sting Mid (85 sq in). Two with the PWS "bumps" and the rest are the earlier non-PWS model. I would like to find and purchase another PWS model... got something in the works but I'll have to see if it pans out or not.

These were probably manufactured before most of y'all were even born I would suppose... around '84 -'85 would be my guess.

I am currently playing around with different strings so none of my racquets have the same strings right now.

Sooo... what have you guys heard about Fed getting a new frame? He currently uses the k90 tour, but I have heard that he is switching frames. Maybe it's for the better. He is the ONLY player in the ATP Top 20 to use a mid frame (his rival, Nadal, uses a midplus - 100 sq in) and he's getting older. The k90 might be asking too much of him:)

So what have you guys heard? Anyone know what frame he's switching too? Post!!!!!

I honestly doubt it and don't care, and if he is switching he might probably go back to his old PS 85 (I mean, playing is all about what you feel comfortable with, and I believe that what he grew up with is going to be what he feels most confident and comfortable to play with) but that's about it, like I said honestly doubt it greatly (or have not heard a word about it).

On another note, the KBT feels as if the racket responds to every command I give it, I played a set today, and my opponent was on the defense the whole time, he kept having to chase the balls down and throw them back into the service box, I would approach and hit winners into the corners of his service box repeatedly, it was ridiculous. I wasn't painting the lines or anything but I was running him unbelievably, id say at least 80% of the shots I hit were winners into the corners of either the service box (off of a ground stroke) or into the back court corners. Pretty much the racket feels like a god send. :):):)

Oh that's really cool Djordje! Wilson does make some wicked good racquets!!! Glad to hear you're enjoying your KBT!!! That's what this club is all about.

So are you planning to lead up your KBT and make it heavier (like the k95 or kps88) or just going to leave it at the current weight? Any mods so far?
 
Sign me Up!!! I have one K pro open, it and it's a total beast!! Planning to switch to more advanced frame though. Please give me suggestions on which wilson frame would be a good step up from the K pro open (tweener). I'm looking for something with more feel.... Thanks!!!!:)

No no real modding is necessary, it weighs 12.1 oz without lead so it seems hefty enough to handle whats thrown at it (I have 15g strings on it that's what adds so much weight).

I started with a prostaff 6.1 classic a while back.
It was donated to me by a friend who stopped playing.
I think the racket finally died on me so I recently upgraded to the k6.1 95. So far it's good and I like it. =)

I think I'm going to add some weight on the grip though.
 
i have six K6.1 95 racquets. I had a seventh but someone of my general height, weight and build might have gone Gonzo with it on court yesterday. :D :oops:

I also have a K-factor Tour, but that stick has a weird weight distribution.

I use Wilson grips and overgrips. I like a mix of Luxilon Power Alu Rough in the mains with Tecnifibre X-One BiPhase crosses.
