***Wilson Racquet Owners Club!!!!!***

Who here uses hybrids in there wilsons, if so, what strings, tensions, and how you like/dislike them. Theres a good descussion. =D

-Djordje

To reply to Djordje's question, I don't currently use hybrids but what are the benefits? How do hybrids differ from one string thru?

Ahhhhh.... I lost in the first round of my tournament!!! My serves weren't staying in and my forehands were REALLY erratic. Well, it wasn't THAT bad. I lost 6-4, 6-4.

Ah well... we take the losses with the wins, I suppose! Back to the practice courts!

what i said that is funny? what i said wrong?

I actually have no clue, I was just seeing if I could get Djordje to tell me what you said that was funny. Sorry if we misled you! :):):)

Really, nothing funny:)

So Djordje, out with it... what's so funny?

Peace out, THESEXPISTOL,

ksixone95

do you think your Ksix-one 95 is the racket or just one more racket?

What is the thing you like the most? In which aspect of your game you really can say 'this racket is the one for me?

I use a hybrid of wilson enduro pro and syn gut. Like to put black in the crosses looks bad... but don't particularly like the black lines on the balls that it causes.

Everything that i use is wilson, pro overgrip, tour spin kicks, eco 6 pack tour, etc.

I havent tried any other brand for a long time. I have considered demoing a couple of head sticks but...creature of habit I guess

Maybe he saw that the racquet you used before was 275g weight and the transaction on an almost +60g more weight racquet, you didnt find it heavy.

Hello all, I will be NEW to the Wilson product. I play with a full western grip on the FH side and 1hbh. Currently playing with an APD...yes, I know...those are fighting words in this club..sorry. Any suggestions on racquets? I haven't demoed yet, but I am really looking into the Fed's model or the Six One 95 (18x20).

I play full western too and the Fed's model seems a little too small in headsize, but maybe is just me,or the fact that I play 90% on the redclay where the ball doesn't bounce everytime in a predictible way.

'S okay, we'll forgive you just this once:twisted:

I'd suggest the K Six-One 95 - it's less demanding but still a top-shelf player's racquet.

You hit a ball with it, even in the center, and the racquet jumps and shakes like you lit a fire under it:) It really beats up your arm.

Hi guys,
Today i fell more confident in my game than ever..
I went into a match with a good friend of mine. Q. was first playing with his Wilson Kblade tour w/ Luxilon Strings with 25 tension...
It was my first game with my K95 6.1 18x20.
In the warm-up i felt some pain in my elbow.. well pain is maybe a hard word a little discomfort..
The game started and i easily took the first 2 sets.. My serve was fast has never (even if the racket is not too powerful) and i was making aces that i didn't know i was capable of. He was struggling with his service..
In the third set i felt weak and very relaxed, that helped Q. to get the 3rd set.
The 4th set was 6-6. Tiebreak... He was leading 6-1. I managed a way to make 6-5. Then he just aced me with one powerful serve right in the corner of the service box.
Rain started and 'play was suspended'.
As good friends we laugh of the situation and come home.
About the racket.. it really suprised me.. a dream for groundstrokers, the best racket i've ever used at the net, consistent in the baseline.. i made the most beautiful volley of my life today.

After a long rally Q. (red line) attacked me with a sliced ball at my left. I'm 1HB and i run to the ball (during that time he went into the net) and i made the most perfect backhand i've ever made (like fed does and i made a volley.. He was shocked with my shot lol

I'm the blue line. Q. is the red line. The yellow is the ball.

I never thought i would have soo much control into the ball...
I will keep writing about my K95 experience. Maybe tomorrow i will post some pics.

That's really great... that's what this club is all about. People slam Wilson, but in the end they make the GREATEST RACQUETS EVER.

Regarding Wilson rackets, a number(myself included) here have been critical of Wilson's quality control. I saw a pic recently of a SV Wilson Prostaff 6.0 racket in which the weight and balance are labeled on the racket within a range. Specifically, it had its weight labeled as 11.6-12.3 oz unstrung, and its balance labeled as 1.0-1.5 in headlight. So it seems that Wilson(and maybe others) used to give us an idea of their tolerances, which doesn't seem to be the case anymore. 0.7 oz is quite a difference, as is 4 pts in balance. So maybe the quality control hasn't changed tremendously, and it's a disconnect between customer expectations based on hard-and-fast numbers/data Wilson gives us, without giving us a rough idea of their tolerances?

I always thought the old labeling was for the Over Size version and the regular, or a china make and the actual one, I know the QC was a lot better 10 years ago and there were much much smaller differences in specifications.
