***Wilson Racquet Owners Club!!!!!***

That's really great... that's what this club is all about. People slam Wilson, but in the end they make the GREATEST RACQUETS EVER.

Where do you play the most? Cary Tennis Ctr? Public or private courts? I play near Millbrook tennis center (closer to my work). But I live in Garner, just outside raleigh. Sorta like Cary, but way more ghetto.

Cary Tennis Park, pretty much I'm there 7 days a week:)

I also play at Macgregor Downs on clay with my friend's family who has a membership. I live in Macgregor but we didn't see any point in paying $40-60,000 for a membership to ANYTHING, really.

Sometimes at the Cary YMCA too...

So mostly public, just a little private.

I wouldn't call Garner ghetto... but Cary's the best:)

I'm using Luxilon Big Banger Original. Gotta love them..
I hit flat on hardcourts and with these strings i can put all my power into the ball and the ball doesn't go out.

For those who think that k95 gives tennis elbow,I've played 3 hours now with a dead poly in it,I didnt cut it specially for this and it didnt gave me any elbow or wrist pain.
With this dead poly I've lost the precision on serve but the groundstrokes I could place them verry well;the feeling instead,is like a babolat.

Played with the K sixone 95 last night, first serves were good, 2nd serve, I need improvement. 1hbhs were pretty accurate, forehand...I went back to a more western and it did the job. Overall, nice racquet...I need to improve my timing though. Next up....K90 to demo.

You demoed the 16X19 version?

Holy crap! I didn't think it cost that much to be a member there. I have played at cary tennis center once and enjoyed it. Beautiful set up. Nice blue courts too. People were friendly. Wife fell in love with the little children's tennis courts (there was a lesson going on and my wife gushed at the site of it). Just a bit too far. We were only a few minutes away from there the time we played and had to take our car to the Cary Auto Park (Acura). Definitely want to move out that way when I get older.

Just picked up my 3rd PS 6.0 Original today at the local used sporting goods store for $50. For those close and interested, one more is still available!!!!! 9/10 condition, Black Buttcap, still has China Sticker on bottom. Place is near... rhymes with "frolfsmith" in raleigh ;-). Couldn't pick up the second one b/c wife would kill me. This one will probably be in the closet, as a backup to the backup.

Yeah... and Preston's $70,000 initiation, and Governor's Club is $80K.

Plus you have to spend $200 a month on clothes and merchandise and golf and stuff, AND $1000 per year on food, and there are other little fees. It's all about bragging rights and snoot factor! :)

Seriously though, it's STUPID to join a country club. You get nothing out of it.. plus you have to act all upper-crust. I LOVE CTP!!!!! I know all the coaches, everyone's so friendly, the facility's AMAZING (well-set up, clean, pretty, well-maintained), and they sponsor so many great programs. Best tennis facility I've ever been too. The coaches are great. If you go again, say hi to Gregg for me!!!!!!

Did have one question, what high school/middle school is that behind there? I think it was the Falcons?

You demoed the 16X19 version?

Yes, the 16 x 19. Wanted to demo a 18 x 20, but they didn't have one. I tried playing with a more semi western forehand, but it would fly a bit beyond the baseline. Very solid feel I might say on the racquet overall. The demo had Prince SYnthetic gut in the low 50s. Not much feeling while serving.

String it tighter, I get good feel while serving on 58.

Sign me up! Four nSix-One 16x18s with ALU Power and VS. Still have not found a stick with as good a balance of flex and stiffness.

Where do I sign up? Check the sig. Even the bag and the shoes.

Hey where is Jo11yRoger and the Wilson alliance? I thought he had an alliance with all Wilson users and they played against other "rackets"......

Demoed the k90 tour today. A more demanding racquet than k61 95. The slice was awesome, forehand had less power but more control than the 95. Serve was better. A very nice racquet. Played a friend with the 95 and won 6-4. Played him again a few days later with the k90 and won 6-1. A precision instrument the k90 is. Will purchase a pair this week.

Already signed you up... :)

No clue. Didn't even know there was a Wilson Alliance...

i am currently using a kblade tour and like the way the racket feels, but feels heavy to wield after long play and i do not enjoy the leather grip even with an overgrip as it kept giving me blisters. my friends used my xtra kbt and got blisters too. i changed it to to a wilson true grip and haven't gotten a blister since. i also recently purchased a ktour but it hasn't arrived yet.

Oh cool. Isn't the K Tour a lot different than your KBT? In fact, it's head heavy.

Ill proberly be joining this club soon! Im proberely swithching to the K-Blade 98 in the next few days. Ill proberly be stringing them up with some CF 17 or PHT 17 @ about 56.

Hi Guys
I am switching from the K95 16x18 to the N95 16x18. The KFactor was hurting my elbow, and it was a bit too powerful. I am so excited, it is coming in a couple of days.

Too bad that happened...

Sometimes, you could try using different strings or string it at a lower tension or something...

unless that really disrupts your game...

Lower tension makes it a little bit better, but not by much. And I am using half polies, but I broke so many multis that I decided it wasn't worth the money. At least I got the Ncodes for a great price, $140 for 2 strung with natural gut.

Did you bought them already?
I am doing better with the k90 too,but sometimes,when I am lazy with my feet it's a disaster :)

I actually purchased the kps88 due to the heaviness which would help my baseline game. Ya, lazy feet will definitely mess up the game.

got myself a kps88 after using the ps85 for a good number of years. also have a wilson ultra hammer (tapered beam) which i occaisionally hit with. also a nice racket.

i like it so far. hopefully its not just a honeymoon period :) its a shame i dont have my ps85 to compare it to. it got a crack and it wasnt even from throwing it on the ground which makes it more annoying. Always been a wilson man. had the classic 6.1 which i loved and a couple of sting high beam series a while ago. they got well and truly mullered of the ground. oops

Isn't that the lighter version of the K Six-One? How does it play in relation to the regular version?

Yes, it's a lighter version. I think it's comparable to the regular 95 version...I still get a solid feel at contact without the added swingweight.
