Not thick when you compare to the 2.5. That thing was a beast
Hello there, I want to know how tight is the unified tongue? I prefer the traditional types of shoe tongues better but because of the reviews i´m reading I´m planning to buy them.

How much softer are these than the 3.5s? Did they widen the toebox? Personally, I found the 3.5s too stiff and unforgiving; I'm surprised people liked them.

There is a difference in feel for sure. The uppers are softer and the toe box is wide and high.Very plush shoe all the way imo

Took a flyer on a deeply discounted pair. Am concerned they will be too narrow but we shall see. My Diadoras are dead and I have been wearing an old pair of Rush Pro Aces this week and do not mind them but they are too wide for me so was hoping these would work.

Very interested to know what ,if any, differences you will find?

Reviews are showing that the lacing (eyelet) system is failing on these. How is your experience?

Love this shoe. Switched to it from the K-Swiss Hypercourt Express/Supreme. Superior in basically every way imaginable, other than immediate out-of-box comfort (took one play session to break in).
How did the fit of the Rush pro 4 compare to Supremes?

I wore the Supremes but found them much wider than Ubersonics and barricades. So if the Rush Pro is less wide than Supremes it will be an interesting option for me.

Way too narrow in the forefoot instep for me. Bummer
A bit too narrow for me as well but the biggest negative was the front bumper rubbing into my toe nails. Also noticed that the tongue that extends as a glove around your foot makes the shoes very warm.

Had the exact same problem with the DIADORA Blushield 5 but not the RP

Ace's are a little too wode but wearable. The 4.0s pinch my instep a lot like the NB Lavs did right where the reinforced rubber - TPU is. Cannot wear

Currently wearing 10s in Adidas, 10 in Asics, and in between 10-10.5 in Nike. Any sizing suggestions? I might have missed it in this thread but I saw in another that 1/2 up is the way to go.

Update: I had a warranty credit through Wilson and used it on the 4.0s. I was not impressed with the shoe the first time I tried them on and disliked the 3.5s (still recovering from jamming my big toe in those while breaking them in months ago), but I like these more than I thought I would. The cushioning is better than the 3.5s (softer) and they feel more responsive. They're good for doubles, drilling etc. I wouldn't use them in a tournament match over my Vapor 9.5s though. They run true to size for me.

I do like the color ways of Shift and Blade very much but I do not understand why limiting customer base by painting racquet models on the shoes -

The Rush Pro 4.0 seems like a dream. I'm an all-court high 4.5 player that prioritizes speed/comfort/stability/breathability in a shoe.

After trying many shoes back to back (Lacoste LT23 Ultra, Asics Solution Speed FF3, Vapor Pro 2, Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour, NB CT Rally),
the Rush Pro 4.0 has hands down been the best first impression I've had.

The combination of out of the box comfort and how light/quick and breathable it feels, while still remaining very stable, just seems unmatched. I can see how the lacing system might not hold up well over time, but I will have to find out down the road.

I also really like the Lacoste LGLT23s, but this seems to do everything that shoe does and just feels much lighter and is hopefully more durable.

Everyone is always going on about how they put on shoes and "forget that they are even there". The Rush Pro 4.0 is the first shoe that has done that for me.

I totally agree with you. It is a such a great performing shoe while having a plush feel to it. The lacing system isn’t my favorite by any means but it’ll work even if it isn’t the greatest tie down in the world.

The best thing they could add to it is if they increase the durability of the shoe. To me, that’s the only thing lacking as I will go through them pretty quickly (within less than a month). If they had the same quality as the Asics AHAR rubber, I wouldn’t be able to think of a better shoe for me.
