Wilson Rush Pro Ace Shoes - new wide feet option?

Anyone get their hands on the Wilson Rush Pro Ace shoes? Looks like they're 2E width so great for those of us with wider feet. Price is nice at $99 too. I am not sure if there's any durability guarantee though.

I play tested a pair over a year ago and found them very similar to the Rush Pro. Fit was great and very light weight. I had the all white pair. Same sole as the current Rush Pro. I wore each generation of the Nike Vapor through 9.5 until about 2018-19 when I started the Rush Pro. The performance fit and feel we’re better than the Vapor for me in every way. The Rush Pro Ace is a great option for those that enjoy the Rush Pro at a nice price saving.

What was the durability like for you? I like my Babolat SFX3, but I am blowing through the sole way too fast for the price. Otherwise I may give the Diadora Torneo a try.

Just got a pair in. I am wearing Babolat SFX3 in 8.5 and just tried the Wilson Rush Pro Ace in 8.5, and it feels pretty comfortable. Maybe I could drop down to an 8, but I'm not sure. There's a bit of extra length, but the width feels pretty perfect. I don't get the use of Ortholite in the shoes though as there's like zero arch support, perhaps it would be good for someone with less then average arch height. That said, I'll try the Ortholite insole before swapping insoles.

Played 2 hours today

  1. Don't know if my laces loosened up after 1.5 hours, but I started sliding around in the shoe a bit. That said, I did not have major toe jamming. I do wear POD ankle braces and perhaps that is contributing. I may replace the laces with longer laces to do heel lock lacing..
  2. Arch support is confirmed to be terrible. My right arch was hurting after 15-20 minutes. I will be replacing the Ortholite with actual insoles.
  3. Still getting used to the shoe, but they feel perhaps a touch bit heavier than my Babolat SFX3 but overall still quite fast.

Played with my SOLE insoles, drastically better support for my arch. Had a little bit of toe jamming after 1 hour, but that was only with stopping after full sprints. Overall, can't complain for the price. I may buy some longer laces to see if I can get better heel lock to address the toe jamming issue.

After putting my Solo orthotics in my SFX3, I feel like I could've gone a half size smaller. Do you feel that way with your Rush Pro Aces?

I just snagged a pair. They should get here Tuesday.

I’m excited to test them. I playtested the Rush Pro a few years back and liked them. Hope these are very similar.

My Asics Speeds are just too narrow and my outer foot has had enough.

I purchased 3 pairs about a month ago. Not a bad shoe actually. I wish they were more stylish but they fit fine and overall perform well.

First time on court. Quality shoe and comfortable. For the weight cushioning is pretty darn good. Not sure how wide they really are although fit me fine. Less stability and support than the Head Revolts. A good shoe and happy to have them but I think the Revolts will be my go to

They advertise it as a 2E shoe.I believe it is less than that.I have ordered the Rush Pro 4 and will report asap.

I agree. For me, it seems like a fairly wide fitting D width. I did not notice the bend in the toe box that bothers a lot of folks.

As I said, they fit me fine although anyone needing a real 2E might feel tight.

Not to hijack the conversation about the Rush Pros, but which version of the Revolts do you have? I have a high arch with wide forefoot and are used to low drop running shoes and was looking at the Rush Pro Ace and Revolt Evos.

just wore them for the first time today. First impression is that they feel very sturdy, durable. They don't feel as light as the Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 5 that I've been wearing, but they don't feel heavy.

Hoping to take these out again over the weekend or next week.
When you burn through these two in 10 days like you did with the Blushields will you be interested in the SpeedServe Energized or are those too stiff? They have the warranty too.

Enjoyed these on the Court today. Foot felt more stable than the last time. Wore Thorlo max's which helped fill out the front. Perhaps a little light on cushioning underfoot. Anyway was a good change-up from the Revolts after 4 hard days in a row.
