Wilson Rush Pro - what happened?

Hi all,

I play with the Wilson Rush Pro 3.5, both the all court (for indoor, hardcourt, carpet) and the clay version.

As clay season is around the corner for Switzerland and one pair of my clay shoe is already broken, I wanted to buy new ones (I anyway go through 2-4 pairs every summer).

Now I cannot find them anywhere, neither 3.0 nor 3.5. I search for 4.0, but only found some junior shoes.

Does anybody know what happened? Are the shoes discontinued? Will there be a 4.0 soon? Or is it due to a shortage with all the supply chain problems?

Any suggestion for alternatives?

Thanks a lot!

Not sure what is going on with Wilson’s supply chain. They just got them back on the website and I was able to snag a couple of pairs. I don’t think they are discontinued as much as they just aren’t available anywhere.

Short answer Demand is Exceeding supply.

1) Demand for Tennis Shoes is dramatically higher than normal.
2) Supply chain is sub optimal. Ports can't handle the overall flow and not enough drivers in the right places.
3) China is still closing large areas to contain covid
4) People are buying extra shoes when they can...

Basically you either have to be patient or buy a different brand/model shoe. Most shoe brands are having trouble keeping stock. Basically right now they seem to come in stock and sell out in a about two weeks.

Thanks for the information guys! I will try the 3.0 2021 version, found it in my size. It's an all-court shoe, but I am anyway playing my old 3.0 all court shoe on clay, it still works ^^

Let us know how it fits and play compared to the 3.5.

There is the 2.5 2021,the 3.0 and the 3.5.I was interested in the 2.5 2021 and if they are any different to the 2.5's?

I love the Rush Pro 3.5's. It was a challenge finding a new pair a couple months ago. I think it is supply chain related. Also, I don't believe their is much difference between the standard Rush Pro 3.5 and the Clay version. I have both and the bottoms are almost identical.

Alright, I got the following shoes: Wilson Rush Pro 3.0 Blade Black/Green Men's Shoe
I have played with all versions before starting from 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, as my feet are quite wide and high, these were the only tennis shoes I have tried so far where I could play pain-free.
I also never noticed any huge difference, especially between the 3.0 and the 3.5.
Same now with the 3.0 2021, it feels comfortable, familiar as all Wilson Rush Pros I had on my feet so far.
I am now playing with them on clay, and it works, even though it's not the clay version. Probably on my level it's ok. So I have now 1 pair of 3.5 (soon to be broken), 1 old pair 3.0 all-court (which I replaced last year with a 3.5 all court that I only use for hard court / carpet) and the new 3.0 2021 all court. With these 3 pair of shoes, I hope to survive until the new ones will be available in may 22 as it was mentioned here (hoping for the 4.0, but even if not, 3.0 or 3.5 clay court version would be great as well).

So no fit differences according to you between 3.0 and 3.5?How about the toe box?Same space and width ?
for me it feels close to equal, could not say if it is wider or less wide. Feels familiar, comfortable to me. Sorry, I guess not much value in this sentence ;-)

Fyi, I’m getting a pair of replacements for one of the last 3.5’s I had, and the customer rep said that the new 4.0’s should be available in June. Supply chain stuff, yah.

Gone back to Wilson! They were in the tennis shoe business when I was a kid with Bata and then they quit sell tennis shoes. I been with Wilson for past 5+ years and they are great for everything!
