I heard that Wilson will be releasing a new line of tennis racquets in 2010. Any guesses in what the new tech would be and what would YOU want to see improved/added in these racquets?

Well I would hope they would rerelease the ps85 and the n6.1 95..... Not a chance in hell it will happen... My guess is they will figure some way to screw up the k90 with some new [g]immicks.

well they should its a good way to make some money, you know putting practically the same racket with a new name and everyone buys them. I wish I started a company like that. But I guess there are differences between the frames. But Don is right then do tend to get worst. They need to bring the tradtional feel back to the new rackets

All this new tech stuff is fake, companies claim it does this great thing but it is basiclly just a little bit of something changed in the racquet.

next they'll call it the rocketship racket line or alien technology or something

seriously, even the rackets nowadays are so confusing to me ever since i came back to the game.. so much has changed in 10yrs

How about a shocking new development in racquet manufacturing for wilson.....?

Some graphite with a hoop, throat and a handle... completely revolutionary!

Some drilled string holes in the hoop and a grommet set... next generation!

This racquet would redifine the way we think about tennis.

I know another shocking new development in manufacturing Wilson could implement- Quality Control! It would be totally awesome to buy two Wilson raquets and not have their weight off by 12+ grams with differing balance points......imagine a company that actually makes raquets in the ball park of their specs!!!!!

I second that about Wilson's Bad Quality Control! At one point I even wanted to get rid of all my Wilson racquets and get similar racquets from a company with better quality control.

I like Head racquets, Wilson tries to hard to have some great echnology stuff and advertize it way to much. Microgel all the way!!!!!

Personally I think the K95 is the best Wilson racquet right now, easier to use.

Both feel awful though and swing too heavy. PS 6.0 should be the call. Idiots won't make that sound decision though. Would make too much sense and sales revenue would be too high.

Since W, N and K has been taken as initial for their technology... I wonder which other letter Wilson will take next.
My guess might be R or X. Both letter sounds great. LOL!

90 and all the products in the range...

henenigangs much... more [k]rap

I have to give them props on the K90 and Ps88 though. The Ps88 PJ looks amazing, and that racquet is looking like a modern classic along with the K90.

Does anyone have any idea when they might release the new 6.1 Tour 90 model? I currently am hitting with the 6.1 n95 team, but I'm looking to upgrade and if there isn't an upgrade soon is it worth my while to just buy a set of k90's?

A racquet that does the same thing as luxilon. You can swing as hard as you want without the ball going long, but it still has pretty good power. It produces great spin too. The only difference is that it wouldn't cost way too much. They could call it (L)factor.

If they didn't do that, they could always make a racquet with Exo3, GT, Youtek, 4d, VO2, RDiS, etc. They could call it Everything technology.

They could also make an entire racquet line with Sampras or Federer's name on it like Volkl did with Boris Becker racquets.

Here is my idea of a new Wilson racket:
100 square inches
20 mm beam width straight
16x19 string pattern
11.5 ounces strung
63 RA
8 points head light
It should be available in different paint jobs, maybe a black and green, or a blue and black.

Just an idea.

Uh oh....the Wilson FX racquets currently have that quad shaft thing goin on... is that what the X means in that title of that video?....would they do that to the 6.1s?

Here is my quick take on what it 'might' look like. Just looking at the designs / colours used in the video. 'neXt' is possibly the name of the line.

That is waaaay waaaay waaaay too cool looking. You know Wilson will "ugly" it up by 20X waiiiiit a minute I know what the 20X means now! That or for every one raquet we make within 10 grams of spec we make 20 off that would fit them too!

So if the new Wilson line is 20x because it comes out in2010 will the new blade line of raquets be 20XI because they come out in 2011?

HEAD already made this racquet. Its called the YouTek Speed MP.

On another note, I would like them to make a racquet like the 95 that isn't a 69 flex or higher.

I don't hate it, it's pretty decent looking, lol. You did a good job on that...I'd like some of the silvery accents they have on the new PDGT's around the frame.

If they do anything really hope they lower the flex rating to like a 64 or lower because I know that Fed probably doesn't use a 67. I have no reason to buy this racket because I have a K90 and a KPS88 and I love them both but if it plays really well and I really like the paintjob I will probably scoop one up if I can get it used at a good price later.

Btw, as simple as it is I think the KPS88 has the most beautiful paintjob of any racket I have seen. Even people who know nothing about tennis or tennis rackets get pleasantly surprised when I show it to them.
