Wilson Ultra Tour Grommets

Hi all,
I think replacing grommets apply to stringing and string techniques (if not my apologies). I was wondering if anyone can confirm if the Wilson ultra pro (18x20) set of grommets works for the Ultra tour countervail the previous version. I know certain racquets it wouldn’t work but it’s always worth to ask.

Yes, they will fit. I've installed Ultra Tour Grommets on Ultra Pro's some time ago. The Grommets of Ultra Pro where slightly heavier.

Replacing the grommet is not witchcraft. It is best to soak the replacement grommet in water for a day so that they become nice and supple. Alternatively, you can heat the grommet a little with a hairdryer when fitting it. In my opinion, an awl is indispensable for installation.

Just to be clear the ultra tour did not have CV. Wanted to make sure you're not actually looking for the ultra 95 CV which is a completely different racket and 16m pattern.

But confirmed above that the ultra pro and ultra tour 18*20 are the same mold and grommet set.

They’ve been telling me they’ll have the 18x20 grommets ‘by the end of the month’ since February. What’s odd is they’ve never listed the grommets in their site to be out of stock. They just don’t exist.

Weird... They recently told me end of October. It's listed under the ultra tour name

Oh - that makes more sense. Are they selling the black ones under they name though, or still the blue ones?

Didnt get thst far. Didnt even realize the ultra tour grommets were blue until now

Sarcasm aside, yes and no. I have one UT that I want to send to CTR to have blacked out. I’d like to have black on that one
