Wilson US Open RD vs Penn Championship XD on Hard Courts

I found a deal where I can get a case of Wilson US Open Regular Duty tennis ball for $2.83 a can while I can get Penn Championship Extra Duty tennis balls for $2.00 a can. I know that Wilson US open tennis balls are better than penn championship balls. However, the balls would be used on hard courts which is why I am hesitant to buy the Wilson US open regular duty tennis balls even though they are a great deal. I play on a college team so the balls are going to be hit pretty hard and I want them to last as long as possible. So would the US Open regular duty tennis balls still last longer than the Penn championship XD balls on hard courts? Or would it be a waste for the extra 80 cents a can to get RD balls for hard courts? Any insight would help! Thank you!

If you are indeed talking about Wilson US Open balls (with the red US Open text) and not the Wilson championship balls (just the regular Wilson 1 black text) they'd definitely last longer than Penn Championship. The US Open balls are a tier higher than championship. I'd say the Prnn comparison would be the Penn ATP balls. Definitely go for the US Opens.

I don't understand what the deal is with Wilson US Open. Everyone is praising them. I've used them ever since I started playing but the felt get fuzzy/fluffy real quick. I then switched over to Penn and they definitely last longer for me. I will never go back to Wilson US Open ever again.

The hard court balls fuzz up more the regular duty but I do like how Penns don't fluff up much.
