Wilson UT - drilling pattern issue

Has anyone ever experienced a problem with the drilling being totally off? No proper alignment which surfaced at 7H and that led to serious prblemish in crosses at the head. I knew sh****y Wilson QC BUT NEVER THOUGHT THEY COULD F*** up the drilling!

First I hear of that, but that’s a clear warranty issue that you should be able to resolve through the right channels

I matched 4 UT for a player, no drilling problems. given how frames are drilled in a jig from what I have seen, that type of error should be rare.

It was my 2nd UT. First one bought from a local shop. Had a v.2.0 mark at 12 o’ clock. Paint was just fine, racquet was jus fine. Second bought from TW. When arrived no v2.0 mark. Had it repainted as i did with my first one - warranty voided. Went to string it - it had come unstrung. And tbe rest is history.

I agree that since thw drills are machine made it should never have happened. The head grommet fitted just fine but not a replacement one i tried in orser to confirm that there was sth wrong.

225 Euros down the drain...

Did the 2nd one come with grommets installed? If so, I wonder how the original grommets fit properly if the drill pattern was off?

Did you remove the original grommet to repaint it, and tried to install new grommet on?
Is this the first time you replace a grommet on a racquet? Cause if you are doing it for the first time, you may think the drilling is off which is not the case. You just need experience and technique and the grommet just need a little stretch;)

That is exactly my point....
I put the grommets that the racquet came with next to the replacement ones (and to answer some of the questions (1) I did not repaint the initial grommets; (2) Have changed grommets numerous times; (3) the problem surfaced when I was stringing the racquet) and it was clear the they were not identical in the space between 7H-9H on one side of the Head!

Regretfully did not take pics. Too frustrated...
