Odd that TW Europe isn't listing them yet. What are they waiting for, U.S. official launch? No one where I'm at locally is stocking them. Only store in town considered it a risky investment on an unproven racquet. Also Wilson had a minimum buy order that he wasn't comfortable taking a risk on.

And the Wilson site that went up last week is still showing as a 403 error for now too, guess we might see it all again in a few hours.

Also TWE might be on the same schedule we are here in Australia on-sale the 16th

Store in Canada has the non pro at 63ra. Very interesting. Unfortunately no ra for the Pro version for now.

A lot of the gear is available at various US/Canadian/European online retailers. The backpack I find is a bit interesting, I remember doing a product survey w/ Wilson and had made mention of the Aer Fit Pack, which is a backpack/duffel hybrid w/ a shoe compartment. And it looks like that's what we got w/ the RF backpack.

What about the power/stiffness levels?
Power is similar to the ezone 98, but still less. Less than an aero 98 too imo. Definitely more power than a blade or a pro staff though. It makes you want to hit big and offensively, the racket really shines when your foot is on the gas compared to a blade where I sometimes tend to block shots back instead.

Stiffness was a bit lower than my ezone. Feels more comfortable on the arm too. But stiffness-wise it is still in the category with the ezone, aero, etc compared to a blade. Not sure how but it felt really stable for its weight, which I think helped with the vibrations.

is this for the 300 version ?

If they sold that leather grip by itself, I'm going to pick up a few. My takeaways from the review:

1) Swings through the air significantly faster and has more spin potential than the RF97 or PS97
2) Doesn't have a super muted feel but also doesn't have exactly the same level of ball feedback and consistent flex that you get from a traditional box beam
3) Less torsional stability than expected
4) Overall, seems to be a racquet that bridges the Pro Staff and something like the EZone or PA98, compromising a little on the traditional Pro Staff feel for "Babolat benefits"

I'm curious enough to demo it but I'm not expecting to be blown away. Feel is a priority for me.

So reviews are out and as it seems my friends thoughts on this racquet were perfectly on spot. Solid feel, very fast thought the air and still a LOW POWERED frame……. but there is a catch here. My friend tried it at 19kg with only 2gr of lead at 3/9 and it has been transformed to a serious easy to use weapon with power, greater SS and without loosing its precision. Potential switch for him IF the price is right as he told me because he doesn’t want to pay the federer tax…. i am referring to 300 version.

The biggest surprise in the beam design for me isn't the oval cross section. It's the dual taper, a design that Wilson was known for in such 90s models as the Profile and Hammer silhouettes. The players racquets from Wilson were always constant beam thickness. The dual taper IMO just doesn't pair with Roger's game, style, and persona.

Is your friend using the 300 or the 320 version?

I ordered the RF01 and the Pro just to get an idea. As a TF40 user I'm interested in lower-powered, foam filled frames.

Seems like the racquet (in the US) costs the same as the Pro Staff, and you are getting charged for the leather grip on the pro.

If you do it right a beam width taper is a better design choice and you don't really even feel it

Not liking leather grips much these days, wondering whether replacing it with a synthetic is the way to go for me. Would get the static weight down to the PS97 I’d think?

Curious to see the reviews roll in with time.

For sure it will go down between 310 and 315. I was thinking to do sth similar :)

People here seem to lack any sense of marketing and vision...

Come on guys... this is a RF designed by Wilson...

No? Still no clue??

This is clearly the first step of Federer launching his own racket brand in my view.. time will tell...

“Clearly”? I think you underestimate how much effort goes into creating your own product. I think it’s more worth it for Fed to strategically partner with existing producers given his popularity and ability to move product with his name. You saw that play out with the shoe brand On.

The bag is the best bag on the market, very funtional and slick. Glad that we can now get rid of the suck bag & duffel from Babolat, Head & Wilson too

Everyone seems to have them as of this morning, except the Wilson Tennis online store. Tennis Warehouse Europe has them priced lower than everyone else.
