The most amazing thing after he decided to retire is that he wanted to shake the hand with the umpire but the umpire refused it .I`ve seen players refuse to shake hands but i`ve never seen an umpire do that

Hanescu gets booed as he leaves the court. He gave up the match at 2-0 after reciving a code violation for swearing at someone in the crowd by making 3 intentional double faults and then retiring

I think I heard the commentator say that he'd spat at the spectators.

I haven't seen that either... I thought the umpire was confused as to what was happening. He then walked over after the umpire refused and shook hands with his opponent.

Chardy led 4-2 with a break in the fifth, but Ferrer pulled back to 5-5, then held serve. Serving at 5-6, Chardy made several unforced errors before double-faulting at 15-40...

What - a French player choking in a big match?! Mais non, c'est impossible !!!

The king of them all..Mr. Mathieu trying to join Chardy - after nerves of steel to take the first two tiebreaks he squanders match point on his serve and loses the third . To his credit it wasn't exactly a choke and he still has two sets to redeem himself.

Well yeah, that match point on Mathieu's serve was a return let cord dribble-overer from DeBakker. Not much he could really do there.

Thiemo de Bakker just saved some match points in the third set and won it on the tiebreak, 10-8. Is this the start of another great comeback?

yeah, just saw that.

Well, cmon De Bakker, I'm counting on you.

I'm also counting on the serial choking abilities of Mr. Paul-Henri.

We're going to a fifth! :D

Too bad so many people are fighting over Rafa instead of watching such a good match...

Mallisse forces a 5th set. I thought this guy had retired before this year, seemed like he barely ever played. Nice to see him playing well again.

I'm enjoying the fact that this Wimbledon we've seen a lot of the top seeds tested early and extensively. It's always lame when the first week just consists of straight set crushing after straight set crushing, but whilst upsets are nice and exciting, come the second week it's a bit lame if players no one cares about are fighting it out for the last few rounds.

Having had our top 3 all go to 5 has been a great plus for me.

Where've ya been, man?... You missed the *********s tsunami lol...

And I hope you saw the Querrey - Malisse awesome match...

Not really watched a lot of Wimbledon, and generally just avoiding TW a bit since some posters are starting to annoy me more than it's worth actually being here.

Just tuning in for some when scores look interesting, was disappointed by the Rafa stuff yesterday and the inevitable post match ****storm just made me want to stay away more :/

Jo up 5-0 in the first against Benneteau. Julien is spraying UEs all over the place while Jo looks very solid.

Jo with the early break in the second set. And he holds at love to confirm it. Things looking good for him. :)

Very happy to see it. After that injury pull out and fearing that he might not even compete here, this is excellent news. Even if Benneteau broke back.

Brands keeping it close with Berdych. I'm going to have to find out more about this guy!

Yep. This is good news also in the prospect of the DC tie. Too bad Nadal isn't playing, even though I won't complain about it. ;)

About Brands I had a feeling he might trouble Berdych and I almost picked him in the PPL. But Berdych has been looking good lately, and I think he will get past Brands no matter what.
