It's NADAL! Snap out of it :) He'll go out there and kill it. I'll be watching calmly with a pipe  #Bolieve and enjoy the match, and especially the angry haters after.

I am not going to let myself get upset again like the last two years - ruined Wimby and I am just assuming he is going out earlier - it is easier to prepare mentally this way.

I do like the comments he has being coming out with - sounds ready and pumped.

Klizan poll favorite. TT doesn't disappoint :D

:D

Nice avatar, btw ! Are you a Nadal fan ?! I ask because you are neither anti-jinxing nor insulting Nadal's opponents nor whining about Nadal's injuries , in other words , you seem too fair a poster to be one ;-)

What could possibly go wrong? Just enjoy the day. :)

That's why I'm feeling good about it. Rafa tells it like it is... and you rarely get a ton of optimism from him. When he's optimistic, so am I. Let's just hope he can win today and especially get past round 3.

Rosol upset me massively - the following year I thought 'No way this could happen again'. I won't be making that mistake again. I was caught so off guard I simply couldn't watch the rest of Wimbledon - I don't want that happening again this year.

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Yeah I am surprised he sounds so confident - normally you get scared little Rafa who says 'Im gonna try my best'.

I am scared all the time though.

Nadal appears to really want to do well here again. This combined with the even slower high bouncing courts should see him through in the early rounds. If he gets to R3 he's the favourite to win the title.

I think the comments about Rafa's first 3 rounds being tough is overblown, probably by the media who like a good story. I would be most concerned by Raonic in the quarters because I think he has stepped up his game and his fitness levels. He looked quite good in RG.

But Klizan, Rosol not a problem. I can see why Karlovic is an unwanted match though (if he gets to 3rd round)

I like pretty much all players, really. But yes, Nadal is my guy, same age, same country, I always root for him.

I'm probably one of the oldest Nadal fans in here - been supporting him since Davis Cup 2004

TT is such a madhouse, I learned to ride the wave a long time ago.

LOL Klizan opened up with a 2nd serve return huge forehand winner. 0-30 for him on Rafa's serve right off the bat.

Three UEs in a row. Klizan taking a page from the Brown book.

Nadal holds after a huge scare. Let's see this guy's serve game.

We knew that Klizan was going to come out guns firing, and he'll continue to. He's unlikely to make them all as the failure of break point conversion showed.

Now it's BP Nadal after another DF, who makes a return error.

A second BP and a great save from K. who drop volleys a FH passing at foot height

Both players struggling to hold big time in their first service games.

1-1

Nadal looking the steadier, though. Should win in straights unless Klizan stops going for winners all the time.

Nadal seems to be feeling the pressure on his second serves. He knows his opponents are going to go for winners more often than not.

OMG, Tio Toni is wearing a newer version of the Iberostar cap. Much better than the oft-crumpled predecessor.
