A second Wimbledon could give him a chance to become another ATG by the time he leaves.;)
You expect Andy to win another 4 majors to become an ATG? Nobody is an ATG with 3 majors or 4 or 5. Becker and Edberg each have 6 and neither are considered ATG's. That ship sailed long ago for Andy, he's already 29.

Milos after his heart breaking SF loss to Andy Murray in Australia this year.

It hurts light hell now at this moment. The heartbreak and the disappoint. Regardless, I will not let this keep me down. That is not how I was raised and that is not the kind of person that I am. I thrive of challenges and of difficult moments that on the other side make me better and make me stronger. It's infuriating for the tournament to end on this note and to have to face this knot in my stomach. But it's not the end. Not by any means. I am better than that and I will overcome the challenges my body presents to me, I work far to damn hard and commit every waking moment to tennis, my ambitions and my goals, to not do that. I will grow from this and I will learn. I will give myself this opportunity again and I will move on in a better light. It may not be today or tomorrow but I am gonna do everything to make sure it's someday!

Milosh say's he's watched thousands of hours of footage of his hero Sampras. He just needs to channel his inner Sampras and remember that Sampras never loses Wimbledon finals. ;)

Picture perfect splash/ace from Raonic. He will need that tomorrow.

You got it. Prime Scott Steiner using the Steiner Screwdriver. One of the GOAT moves.

Have you seen The Steiners Brothers v The Hart Brothers epic?

Never liked the luchalibres. Kinda of like the 145 and below divisions in mma. I wanna see guys bigger than me, otherwise they should be pretty women :)

Luchalibres. You desecrate the great Sabu. and others for their lesser stature:

This is the first queens final rematch in a Wimbledon final since 88. Becker beat Edberg at queens, Edberg got payback at Wimbledon.
In 2000 Sampras lost at Queens to Hewitt. Hewitt didn't make the Wimbledon final (got knocked out in the 1st round) so Sampras had to take his revenge against another Aussie instead, Pat Rafter. ;)

I am the first to admit that I likely know less about tennis than most of you. So, I'm using my simple mind to keep things simple to figure out who I think will win.

Andy:
- the odds on favourite
- crowd behind him
- playing very well, by all accounts
- believes he will win
- has a lot to lose
- still muttering

Milos:
- the underdog factor
- playing well and has improved considerably over the past year (let alone several years)
- doesn't care if the crowd is behind him
- believes he can win
- has nothing to lose
- starting to enjoy himself

Of course it makes sense that Andy is the favourite and odds are understandably in his favour....but I'm not ready to say that it is anything more than an even match.

And, Milos has been underestimated many times. He can surprise.

why does his voice crack so often when he talks?

he sounds like he's about to cry or something

also, he doesn't sound fully canadian to me, he still has that slight eastern european accent ever so slightly

Raonic potential problems against Murray:

-Less chances to mess up big points
-Will lose almost all the long rallies
-backhand to backhand rallies
-Will have to go big early in the rally, potential for lots of unforced errors
-Will have to hit the extra ball against Murray's defense
-As an average returner, he will have a difficult time breaking on Murray's 130 mph first serve and his newly improved 92-95 mph kick second serve

Murray potential problems:

-Breaking Raonic on serve
-forehand to forehand rallies

If Murray returns really well and forehand is great he wins in straights 3, 4, 3
If Murray is avg on return and forehand and Raonic plays above average- Murray in tight 4 or 5 with easy 5th set
If Murray is below average on return and forehand and Raonic plays very well- Raonic in tight 4 or 5th easy set

Can't disagree with anything you said.

Only gutted Fed fans like me who will watch solely to scream myself hoarse for Muzz to teach this smug, conceited Raonic a serious lesson. Muzz in three-- and I hope when Raonic comes to the net, Muzz doesn't hesitate to morph into vintage Lendl:
I am as gutted as any Fed fan, but I'd be happy for either of them to win. And sad that one of them had to lose. It's nice to see a first time winner of a slam. And its also nice to see someone who has lost several finals winning one. iirc, Murray hasn't made it to a WO final since his 2013 win.

Raonic winning could spur some of the younger ones to work harder and believe in themselves more.

Er....he isn't exactly facing Pioline here today so not sure watching all that footage will help him ;)

I'd say from my own experience that it's usually the most ignorant people who think they have all the answers :)

I'd say that's a fair assessment :)

Only 184 posts / 4 pages before the final of WO. This is quite telling ! Don't we usually have 1000 or more posts before major finals usually ?

Can't call this! Both are playing well for me the blueprint for Raonic has to be how Roddick beat Murray in 2009 semis! He came in a lot and was aggressive from the baseline! Roddick won that match 6-4 4-6 7-6 7-6 Raonic winning with that kind of scoreline is not beyond the realms of possibility.

This is what coach #3 taught Milos

“That’s for sure. I think it’s something that we’ve all been working together at. I think he’s definitely put an emphasis on it. A lot of times I felt in matches that I need to sort of calm myself down to let things from getting out of control, I feel like when I get positive. I can get negative quickly as well. He sort of implemented it in the sense of from how he’s seen me play. There’s no, ‘too calm for you’, you tend to be too calm, try to get energy out of you, try to get it out of you on court and leave it all out there, try to get the most out of yourself.”

Raonic: 1st ever Slam final for a Canadian man. 1st time male Slam finalist at Wimbledon since Berdych in 2010. 1st time male Slam finalist anywhere since Cilic and Nishikori at 2014 US Open.

Murray: 3rd time finalist at Wimbledon after 2012 and 2013. 3rd consecutive Slam final in 2016 after Australian Open and Roland Garros. 11th Slam final overall.
And finally! First slam-finalist born in the 90's :). About time...

Murray in 3 if he can hold his nerves and composure.

It's an immense challenge for Raonic. 2 5 setters in the legs.

Cmon Andy!
