Dull, dull, dull final. It seemed to me that he got annoyed because Lendl got up and walked off right as the set ended without acknowledging the greatness of what he had just done (i.e handed a tie-break on a plate). I dunno why Andy wants the constant attention and approval from his box; it's funny to see the yes men in his box (not Lendl) all doing that sheepish clapping and nodding in order to stay on Andy's good books and thus on the payroll. A Brit in the final and it's as exciting as toothache...no-one around here (I'm in the Midlands of the UK) is even vaguely excited or interested. All going on as normal. It was so different in 2013..barely a car went by, that's how much it gripped the nation then.

- This is his first final
- He beat Federer to get here.

- His opponent has made both Djokovic and Federer look like so called "mugs" on this surface before.

So how about we cut him some slack yeah? Murray in form, at wimbledon is one of the hardest tests in tennis. Raonic is no mug, he is just the 2nd best player today. thats all.

This is true. I forgot about that tbh. I still think Nadal edges it, though his standing on grass has taken a hit since the Rosol match. Murray has never lost too early at Wimbledon, but I'm not sure if he could beat Federer in 2008 playing like this or as he did in 2013.

Nadal still has a slight edge based on the 2 factors I mentioned IMO.

Fair enough. I will put him above Nadal should he win this match, just a much more consistent grass court player. One Wimbledon 2008 final does not erase Murray's numbers for me. Again, should he win here.

I'm pulling for Raonic, down two sets, but he just doesn't have Murray's athleticism. He can't seem to hit anything on the run or at his feet. If he has time to set up he can hit with anyone, but get him stretched and he just can't hang with the top 4/5. I guess you just can't teach quick feet . You can teach racket skills, strategy and head sense, but you can't turn a guy who lumbers around the court when not engaged in a point into twinkle toes! Different styles. Murray is a frustrating player to play against, especially if you are Raonic. he is like a wall. He makes Raonic play like this. While Fed is easier to hit through considering his movement is not anywhere near close where it should be and his defensive play, he doesn't make Raonic hit those extra shots.

Murray is very strong this year, shooting for a little time at #1 no doubt, but Raonic is always atrocious in finals, unfortunately for us spectators.
