It was a competitive match. Agut gets barely any free points on his serve, unlike Roger. Which is very important against Djokovic.

First of all, I'm so happy that Federer is here once again, beating Nadal en route to the final, it's unreal. I still can't believe it.
About the final honestly, if it was 2015, I'd say Federer has a great chance of winning the whole thing.
Now let's be real, unless some miracle happens, Novak beats Fed in 3 or 4 sets. Djokovic is so good it's no shame losing to him. I hope they both play well and we see a great final nonetheless, excited to see another piece of this epic rivalry!

Will federers new tactics against nadal work against djokovic? I feel he struggles to read and return nadals serve a lot because of him being lefty but Novak has the same baseline pedigree as nadal while returning and serving better IMO. What can fed do to.give himself a better chance ? Like today je absolutely has to win the first set imo.

Djokovic hasn’t looked stellar so far. Solid but not stellar. He’s a long way from his 2015 form. Still the favorite against Fed, but if Fed can hang with Nadal from the baseline, he shouldn’t be utterly overwhelmed by Djokovic’s ground game either. Djoko’s return might be too much, though. We’ll have to see. I’m cautiously optimistic Fed can pull the upset.

Both players will have their lapses. It all comes down to who capitalises at the right time, as we saw today as well. Djokovic the more likely but seriously would be an astounding story for Fred to beat Nadal and Djokovic back-to-back to win the title a month shy of 38.

Federer played well today. The problem with Federer is trying to win those second serve points against Djokovic. He has to win those.

Djokovic plays very passively these days which is good enough against the majority of the field. It won't be good enough against Federer in this form. Really fancy Federer here in 4 or maybe even 3.
