ATP really needs to change this rule of Bathroom break because players are abusing..... Who knows what Novak is doing in that bathroom,, who know what he is taking ?????? if they want to go to bathroom ,, just go on the lawn.....

Clarify that: he played great in the first set. The second set was abysmal. He'll turn it on again and probably take the third, let's see.
Well yeah obviously I just mean the second set. Federer could've been up 2-0 right now, let's see what happens. Federer needs more first serves in, only 50% in that set.

Djoker can get down on himself and slump his shoulders. If he keeps doing that, he is in serious shape. Meanwhile, GOAT fans rejoice:

This is the most important match of Djokovic's career.
He cannot lose it mentally. This could be difference in him getting over Fed's slam count or not. Cannot lose this opportunity.

It's two things: 1) Gamesmanship, and 2) Energy management.

If the other guy is redlining his level over yours, why waste the energy trying to get back a break if you just don't feel mentally there? Instead, better to just take a mental break, let the other guy feel like he's playing the best tennis ever, and then come back in the next set completely focused.

I think it is a great psychological tactic. If Djokovic breaks Federer in the first service game... do you know how demoralizing that will be to Federer? Especially if Federer thinks he's just playing the greatest tennis ever.
Well fed just did it to Nadal two days ago. I don’t think he’ll be complacent and thinks it’s good enough

Yeah, no. Federer was the older player in the semifinal and had more need to conserve energy, physical and mental. Not to mention, he had the final to look forward to. None of which is true now. Djokovic is the younger player and there is no subsequent match. The harder he works this set, the harder Federer will have to work too. It's not like Nadal is waiting in the post-final.
Uh, ok. Sure. Federer is the only guy who can tank a set. Of course.

Yeah, we'll see.

I don't agree with this, especially when you're only 2-0 down. You can't determine if a person is redlining from a single break alone. And why would he give up the first service advantage for the next set? This is a stretch.

Take note Next Gen - you can do things other than mindlessly ball bash and achieve success over someone as great as Djokovic. You don't have to literally play into his hands!

Many like to talk about Federer's backhand being a weakness. But in his matchup against Djokovic the main problem is actually his forehand. Just watch the tie break.
