That has to be the hardest defeat of Fed's career. Fed was probably going to lose the moment he missed match points but I really dont think they should have a tiebreak in the final set in the final when there no more matches to play.

Fed was the better player today for most of the match but was not good enough on key points, and losing 3 tiebreaks is just baffling. Amazed that he came tbis close at 37 but because he came that close I'm really disappointed. He did outplayed Djokovic though which is surprising

I know this is an overkill topic but this is honestly the first time Fed’s slam count has realistically looked like it is probably gonna be eclipsed by either Djokovic or Nadal (or both potentially) when it’s all said and done. Had he won this I think his GS total would’ve been safe permanently
