Not saying he won't , just saying its more likely that he gets passed.I say it again. Why does this match matter then, if he's not going to end up with slam record anyway?

You guys know deep down that mike is right
.....and then to watch an already sub par Roger lose that match. Like India lost today. Cannot wait.

Check the match stats guys. +23 W/UE
43% return points won.
Bad on BP's.
fedr dropped from 61% BP conversion to 51% for the tournament, still highest of the Final Four.55/32 Winners/UE
43% return points won (5% higher than grass career)
Serve stats are down because of 1st set mostly.
Played great at the net. Just bad BP conversion.
Good match overall![]()
No, but Fed has to beat Nadal in a slam at some point. He can't finish his career with a losing slam H2H literally everywhere, not just clay.
Well, Federer, IMO, is not going to keep his slam record. Djokodal aren't going anywhere for a few more years.
Really hope England get through so we'll have a new champion.. Can't stomach the thought of Australia winning it for a sixth time! You an India fan? Sorry, didn’t see that one coming today! Think the Aussies will pummel my lot tomorrow though...
The problem is Federee has always lost the biggest matches to Nadal. Losing on Friday would enforce the idea that AO 2017 was just a fluke. What will it matter if he retires with the slam record? Nobody on earth cares or remembers H2H's against any of the former great players. True tennis fans will know it was Mac-Borg 7-7 and Pete-Andre 14-8, but no other rivalries even come to mind with this nonsense. Fed could be 1-31 in slams against Nadal, but if retired with 22 majors and Nadal 20, that's all that matters historically.
Connors was 0-17 H2H against Lendl after he turned 33. Is that supposed to "tarnish" his legacy?
I am not penalizing him for this match. I am penalizing him for losing big matches all the time against Nadal.Fair do’s. Just think it’s harsh to penalise him for potentially losing a match he should, by rights, not be playing in. He’s into overtime in a way the other two aren’t yet. Just the way it is.
He is not greater on HC and grass, but I have a hard time saying Federer is a better tennis player than Nadal when they face each other.Mike, tell me right now that you think Nadal is a better player than Fed on grass or HC over the course of their career? And keep a straight face while you do it!
Friday will be one match. A semi that will feel like a final for us Fed fans, safe in the knowledge that Nadal has to beat his Krptonite in the final to get his grubbies on that 3rd Wimbledon trophy.
And you know what, if he does it, fair play. Nadal is great too.

No doubt Fed stays super cool against Kei. We will see Fed in another gear where he open his bag of tricks the moment Kei stiffens his challenge. How far Kei will push Fed is the only question.
except he backed it up at IW, Miami, Shanghai so how could that have been a fluke when he beat him each time they met that year

I can't for the life of me recall us having an exchange about our indoor cats, but I don't doubt it given the topic of this post!@Rago @Poisoned Slice @Azure @TearTheRoofOff
My brother let the cat out when he had visited ... imagine me having to forgive my brother if my cat had died. My model cat who has been on a cat magazine cover no joke. Luckily he’s smart. I put his litterbox and food out. Woke up every hour on the hour to search for him. Finally found him after I thought the universe was trolling me cuz he went in the litterbox but had vanished again. So relieved right now. I care more about animals than most people I care about. He looks grateful right? Wrong. He looks mad I stopped his great cat adventure.
Safe to say after that relief I’m ready for anything Fedal can throw at me
Remember yesterday I said in the match thread he was hiding better than TTW claims Fed hides from RAFAI can't for the life of me recall us having an exchange about our indoor cats, but I don't doubt it given the topic of this post!
I understand the relief well. If your cat looked grateful for all that, he'd be a dog, and they bark and smell.
I think my cat may have run away. Send good vibes that he's hiding better than Fed hides from RAFA according to TTW Lore.
This lolHe's hiding from BPs again. World champion at that, yet again.
Totally understand what a nightmare it must have been!!!! Was there a paparazzi chasing him on his adventures? Graham is more human than most humans are.@Rago @Poisoned Slice @Azure @TearTheRoofOff

OK, got it! I too have indoor cats, and ended up having one escape (I now let him out regularly), so had similar anxiety at the time. I thought I must have told you this before since you tagged me in a very similar story. This lol
Yes two strays were following him they constantly faked me out thinking I had found him only to be deniedTotally understand what a nightmare it must have been!!!! Was there a paparazzi chasing him on his adventures? Graham is more human than most humans are.
I was beyond scared he’s not even 3 yet and never been outside. Luckily he is the smartest cat I’ve ever had. Like spooky smart. I do honestly believe the litterbox and scent brought him back. The useful things you pick up working in animal shelters during college.OK, got it! We have a nice semi indoor/outdoor cat as well who keeps going in and out. He seems to have become a half dog. He keeps waiting for me in the driveway without getting bored - that's not cat behaviour at all :OYes two strays were following him they constantly faked me out thinking I had found him only to be denied

i just wish he had maybe taken a set at FO or got it to tb. I know he was able to break nadal once (can't remember if it was more than that) and get bps, but I'd be like okay if he played him somewhat close at rg than maybe he can do this at wimbledonAll doom and gloom here.
Damn the FO semi., I expect Fred to play coming sunday.

Just like the other 4 matches in that streak. The problem is Federee has always lost the biggest matches to Nadal. Losing on Friday would enforce the idea that AO 2017 was just a fluke.
